Football can't always be dominant and plain-sailing. Variables exist.
There will be spells and times where we have to dig deep to achieve results.
Good to know that we can (successfully) weather the storm, score multiple goals and come back from losing position...which were unheard of previously in league matches. Character building.
Hard slog got the job done this time round!

things were not made easy by Cucarella and Chilwell both deciding to play like circus clown in the same match and almost the same position. Both getting in each others way, and for two supposedly top class wing backs were made to look surprisingly ordinary by a pretty average Villa right side even young was waltzing past them both.

Was a carbon copy of the brentford game last season.

The football's not really improved, the results have. We look solid again but that's just the benefits of a new voice/manager bounce, if we're still like this in a year's time then it's an inductor of Potter's skill.
I like him though. Love his self deprecating sense of humour, easy to root for

Villa exactly the same agst us last season at SB, battered us and lost 3 0, so the article is pretty much void.

I never saw the Brentford game like that Nick. They did nothing of note in the 1st 70 minutes and we were in complete control.
Had we taken our chances we'd have been out of sight by HT and ther grandstand finish would have counted for nothing (which it ultimately didn't anyway)
