A Bolton win then they qualify for the knockout stage as group winners and a guaranteed home tie. A draw and a win on penalties will be enough to qualify but relying on other results to win the group. A draw and defeat on penalties should be enough to qualify as long as Tranmere don't win by 5 goals at crewe tonight. A defeat tonight then Bolton will be out if Tranmere win at crewe. A defeat for Bolton and a Crewe win then Crewe will have to beat Leeds U21s to qualify when they eventually play. A draw between Crewe and Tranmere tonight would be the best result for Bolton if they lose as Crewe would have to overturn 6 goals difference. Confused? I am but think I've got it right. Team news. No Eoin Toal who is injured. Isgrove and Sheehan will play as confirmed by evatt. Expect other changes as evatt juggles his 23 available first team players. Early start. 7pm kick off.

I'd go 4-4-1-1 with Bradley out as I don't think we have replacement for him. As I said earlier I don't think Isgrove isn't good enough defensively, he is a winger old fashioned type. I wouldn't want to play Jones as wingback as we would miss him in the back 3. I've gone. Trafford. Jones Santos Johnston iredale. Isgrove Williams Thomason Afolayan. Sadlier Bodvarsson. Could still have that line up in a back 3.

Afolayan out high left, Bodvarsson up top with Sadlier behind him. We'd probably need Morley in then, does that end up making it a sort of 3-4-3
That should give us something better than the norm in the final third and in the box.
