As I've said before, the cause of our problems are the board.
Joint ownership never really follows a harmonious path, different owners want slightly different things.
Kinnear thinks Firpo class, AR shafted Bielsa, Orta has frittered our money away.
Marsch sounded seriously out of his depth in his post match last night, insisting board are right behind him, saying he has to find a way to keep thee group strong blah blah blah.
It's frightening to tot up how much money we've wasted:
Rodrigo - 30m
Llorente - 18m
Firpo - 13m
James - 25m
Costa - 15m
Kristensen, Adams, Roca, Aaronson cost what 80 m?
How many of those would even second bottom team Leicester want in their side....maybe Aaronson?
I have always said foreign players seem to need a year to adapt to being at Leeds, but then why don't we bring in players who hit the ground running?
It's no good bringing in players for the future unless you're pretty sure that the present is looking after itself.
Sacking Bielsa will have cost us a small fortune, sacking Marsch will cost a lot too, he still has 3 years to run and I'm genuinely not sure who could do a turnaround job with these players.
Do we really trust Orta to find the right replacement?
Calls for Corberan are wide of the mark. He has no track record at this level, appointing him would be utter desperation.
Bielsa will not be coming back, he was shafted by AR, this is no longer his team, he wouldn't have a summer to work with players, it's just, unfortunately a non starter.
AR disillusioned Monk enough to make him leave, TC was unsupported, Heck was another stupid appointment (and we as a club have made our fair share of those), Bielsa an expensive gamble that came good, and now Marsch is another choice of a team (AR and Orta) who just don't seem to know what they're doing at times.
I'm an advocate of giving a manager time and right now board have to be brave and give him some more time, changing the manager right now, does not address the true cause of the problems at the club.
The cause of the problems

I admire the likes of Jonty who say we must stick with Jesse and give him more time. Maybe it's just the heat of the moment and the already-impending sense of panic that makes me call for the replacing of Jesse Marsch. Maybe it's the feeling of hopelessness at witnessing this team's lack of fitness, team spirit and performance levels (as I mentioned above). There probably is no definitive right or wrong here - at this stage it's down to gut feeling and my feelings tell me that Jesse is in this above his head. As we saw with Bielsa - and we see with so many other appointments - a fresh manager who's experienced at this level can reorganise and re-energise this squad. But that's just my opinion.

Agreed, its increasingly obvious Marsch is out of his depth. Team selection yesterday a sign of someone who hasn't fully grasped what the league's about. Plus, getting to the point where I can't be @rsed with the interviews either ...the sound of someone repeating mantras from a 'Leadership' audiobook he's heard.

Jessie's not the man for the job. Never was, never will be. We're a mess and until he goes it will probably be more of the same.
The really depressing thing is we've had an easy schedule to start the season.

I don’t think we must stick with him but we’ve changed half the side and that needs time otherwise get new person in and all change again except this time whom do sell to fund it.
He’s on 3.5 year contract you have to accept ups and downs and not run at first sight of trouble unless you want to admit you made bad decisions in first place.
I don’t think we have stronger team than last season and not sure who turns this around mid season so at least stick with Marsch until/unless you have a reSl alternative.

Yep, logically, that’s the only conclusion one can draw (Board being responsible). They hire/fire the top team and presumably (if not, they’re even more daft) every major decision.

* sanction every major decision.

Looking that this team's performance and capabilities makes you stand back in awe at what Bielsa achieved with the Championship-level team he had. Fitness, team spirit, performance levels - we've now lost all of these. How was that allowed to happen?
-------------------
Didn't see much of that at Everton last season and many other games.

But we were always exciting. Reckless, yes; naive, yes; but always exciting. Surely that counts for something!

It did yeah, regular poor results & too many good hidings!
I don't recall many exciting performances last season to be honest. Most of the time we were woeful and heading for relegation.

We need to stick with JM, as much as I love MB.
What we need to do is very simple.
Play a goal scorer up front, maybe alongside Bamford. That young Italian striker who's yet to feature, but has been scoring goals for the Italian u21s gets my vote.
Do not play firpo.
