Team News
Leeds United
Pascal Struijk is in contention to return for Leeds on Sunday after overcoming a knock he suffered against Arsenal.
Leo Hjelde is expected to be available next weekend after having his appendix removed.
Regardless of what's reported I'm sure JM will have some "surprises" for us
Fulham
The Cottagers will give a fitness test to Kenny Tete, who has been out with a hamstring injury.
Nathaniel Chalobah is available after suspension but loanee Daniel James is ruled out against his parent club.

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
Fulham have won only two of their past 11 league games against Leeds, but both of those came at Craven Cottage.
Leeds did the double over Fulham in the 2020-21 season, when the Cottagers were relegated.
Leeds United
Leeds have lost three league games in a row and are winless in seven (D2, L5).
Leeds have lost on the last two Sundays - against Crystal Palace and Arsenal. If they lose to Fulham, that would be three successive Sunday defeats for the first time in 20 years, all of them coming against London teams.
The Whites have won nine of their last 10 games against promoted teams, drawing the other against Brentford.
Fulham
Fulham have won four Premier League games this season, only one fewer than they managed across 38 matches when relegated two seasons ago.
Fulham have lost eight of their last nine Premier League games in Yorkshire and have conceded 23 goals in the process.
Aleksandar Mitrovic has four goals and two assists in his last six league games against Leeds, including scoring two goals last time out.
So............Winless in 7 games and Mitrovic coming to visit, Thank Foooook Dan James isn't eligible to play because unless the Real Leeds United turn up this week even James could have got on the score sheet .
Going out on a limb here and hoping the Team play with the intensity we know they can (and that JM makes a strong team selection🤪)
2-1 both from Paddy (it's got to happen ffs)

So in conclusion... if you don't play with a solid recognised midfield but play 3 wingers instead, you lose football matches.
Not difficult really.

Insightful!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes I know... it's good isn't it😂
Tbh what is available in the squad and with Foreshaw out indefinitely the options of midfield are Roca Adams and Klich. OK so Adams is injured and that leaves us no other recognised senior midfield player.
We are in serious trouble!

If we cannot beat Fulham at home we deserve to go down.

The reality said out loud. I also agree 100%.

Kind of disrespectful to Fulham they came to Roland road well organized and played some tidy stuff…didn’t try to time waste entire game either.
Don’t recollect anyone pumping them this season either.
Decent team to watch

I think his position is now untenable. A home loss to Fulham never would have occurred under MB.
I like JM and want his tactics to work but how long can we wait for something to change as we are now in true relegation territory

I’m not sure financially the CNN lib can afford to sack him!

The squad is short of a centre forward another central midfield player and a left-back, so no new manager is going to change the fortune of the team all that much.
The difference between the Manchester united kids that did well is that they have been together since they were ten years old playing together. At Leeds, they buy decent young players and expect them to gell in a relatively short time.
Football is a team game and it takes time and money to assemble a team, a squad. At Leeds, they lose team cohesion with this one in one out practice. You generally stabilise the team before you dispense with the existing players. Nothing radical will change till the team stops being run like a small firm of builders.

I didn't listen to the match but let's not be what we all accused Thomas Tuchel of being after the Chelsea game - ungracious in defeat. There's no shame in losing to any team that has got its sh!t together - because they sure as hell have and we haven't.
So what to do about our dire situation? When teams are on a steep decline, as ours is, it's not necessarily down to tactics or team choices - with Marsch, I think the main problem is he's lost credibility with the team and consequently he's lost his power of motivation. Hopefully it's as obvious to Radz and Orta that he needs to go, but is it even in their hands? Will their American partners be willing to lose face - not to mention a shed load of money - in getting rid of their hyped-up fellow countryman? I can only say that, in my humble opinion, if they delay the inevitable, we'll be left with a mountain to climb.
