"The second Englishman to go undefeated in his first nine games as Chelsea manager in all competitions after William Lewis in 1906/07."
History. Records will be broken.
Magnitude of the job GP is doing cannot be underestimated, rescued us from the pits of almost certainly crashing out the CL rock-bottom of the group (had previous manager still been in charge) and a dark dark path down the 🐇 hole...to qualifying as group winners (destroying Milan consecutively along the way) into the last 16 in a short space of time.
This is the man that had never managed a big club in the CL, prior to Chelsea. Making the CL look like no sweat thus far, lightwork.
Manner in which he gets his message and ideals through is clear, concise and most importantly understood by the players...
Hence collective attacking ideas and patterned combination build-up play in final third translated instantaneously from day 1 and carried on, which is never an easy thing to do.
Certain coaches need years (neglecting players within) and/or several transfer windows signing their "own players" for attacking principles to get fully across
or
worse in the case of Tuchel, never comes to fruition in the end...which he's culpable for complicating things, Deplorable talent ID (Lukaku over Tammy, Werner over Hudson-Odoi & Tammy, Declined Azpi over Livramento, Aubameyang and last but not least...shunned Tchouameni for Saul Niguez because you know experience is everything in the minds of these sort of managers that are incapable of developing elite young players, thus failing to appropriately address the midfield department a pressing requirement, in isolation a sackable offence) and placing too much emphasis on coaching defence shape. Knock-on effect.
The most cohesive phase in attack under Tuchel was when Cal had that brief stint of matches on the left in attack.
A system reliant on individual offensive brilliance, rather than collective.
GP' impact at highest level is notable...

Type of football we've not seen since Frank was in charge.

The face on Simeone, after Carrasco blocked the goalbound rebound off the line was a sight.
Dumped out of the CL in that fashion, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Wouldn't wish the football his team displays on my worst enemy.
