Welcome to the Matchday Thread and a trip to Anfield for the Lads, not the best fixture to be facing after such a poor run but I suppose we have to face up to it and hope the Team can at least put in a good performance
Squeaky bum time for JM I think

Match Facts
Head to Head
Head-to-head
Liverpool are unbeaten in 12 competitive meetings since a 2-1 Premier League home defeat in April 2001 (W9, D3).
Leeds have lost their last four away league matches against Liverpool, conceding 16 goals.
Liverpool
The Reds have lost three of their 11 Premier League games in 2022-23; they were only beaten twice throughout last season.
Liverpool could suffer consecutive league defeats for the first time since March 2021, which is also when they last went two top-flight matches without scoring.
Jurgen Klopp's side are unbeaten in 29 Premier League home games since a 1-0 loss against Fulham in March 2021 (W22, D7).
Mohamed Salah has scored three Premier League goals in 2022-23. His lowest tally in a season for Liverpool by the end of October is five.
Roberto Firmino has provided six goals and three assists in 10 Premier League appearances this campaign.
Leeds United
Nine points is their fewest after 11 league games of a season since 2003-04, when they were last relegated from the top flight.
It's four league defeats in a row for Jesse Marsch's side, and their eight-match winless run is currently the longest in the division (D2, L6).
They could lose five consecutive away league fixtures for the first time since September to November 2006 in the Championship.
Patrick Bamford is one short of 100 career league goals but has gone 12 league appearances without scoring since his 95th-minute equaliser against Brentford last December.
Leeds have lost their last four Premier League matches at Anfield, shipping 16 goals in those defeats.
Mohamed Salah has been involved in six goals in two home Premier League appearances against Leeds United (five goals, one assist).
Rodrigo has scored five goals in 10 Premier League games for Leeds this season, just one fewer than he netted in 31 games last season, and just two fewer than he managed in his best scoring season in the competition in 2020-21 (seven in 26 games).
Liverpool fresh on the back of a 3-0 victory over Ajax so will be very confident of a home win (and who can blame them .)
Can we scrape something here, doubtful but I'm still daft enough to predict a 1-2 scoreline with Meslier getting both our goals

Think it's also worth pointing out when Klopp says first goal was lucky (it was) but Van Dyke lost his man and didn't track back. It was also a mistake from him.

Not really, taken in moderation it's quite enjoyable, although I do admit to fitting that description in my younger Army days 🥴

Brilliant result. Let’s hope this is the kickstart we need to get a run of better results. A lot of games we have played well but got “done” by some very dodgy referee and VAR decisions. The guys need to be that little bit more clinical in front of goal because we do make chances.

Good result, the Dunning Kreuger effect mob, should be eating the entrail pie. Humble pie has entrails, guts, as an ingredient. I do not know what was the most amusing watching the match, or reading the comments traducing the head coach on this thread before the match started so many self-styled experts.

I wonder as you are so qualified you could help me. I am not your mate I watch Leeds United in spite of you. I have a right to my opinion, I welcome criticism, not traducement. I stopped being bothered by what people like you think when I left junior school.
I am not anti-social, I am non-social, and I am happy with real friends not faceless individuals on a website.
What is it so difficult to understand, you and your chums could be criminals? Just because someone supports Leeds United does not mean they are invariable life-long friends, or good people, which those supporters who banning orders can attest to. I remember back in the day when they sold the National Front magazine outside Elland Road. My white brother-in-law was beaten up outside Elland Road for no apparent reason.
