On Saturday Wolves welcome Brighton to Molineux.
On their previous encounter in April, also at Molineux, Brighton ran out 3-0 winners.
Brighton have only won 1 of their last 6 games under new manager Robert de Zerbi however that win came last Saturday when former Brighton manager Graham Potter came calling with his Chelsea side and left with a bloody nose after a 4-1 mauling.
Wolves’ dreadful start to the season showed a slight improvement on Saturday when they came away from Brentford with a point. However several more points will be necessary if they are ever going to drag their sorry asses out of the relegation zone.
At the time of writing, Wolves are in 19th place in the table with 10 points. Three points from this game could see them move up to 14th however this would, of course, depend on the results of the 5 teams that sit immediately above them in the table.
Gem’s prediction: 1-1

Final World Cup squads due to be announced this week and one possible inclusion is Theo Corbeanu who is hoping for a call up from Canada. He has lost his place in the Blackpool team recently though and that might count against him, although he has done well when selected for the national squad and has 2 goals in his 7 appearances, and in 2021 was voted Canada's youth player of the year

Hopefully, after he has spent some time watching the videos he doesn't come to the conclusion that "there isn't much wrong with the defence", that we "surely have one of the best frontlines in the division", or that we aren't far away from being a "very good team"!!

Biggest mistake he could make would be to take notice of anything you have to say pundit. But then not many people in this world do that do they

Lopetegui doesn’t officially start until next Monday but his back room staff will be at Molineux for the Leeds game and the man himself will be there for the Arsenal game.
The club are evidently talking to Anderlecht about bringing Fabio back in January

Would hope that Fabio will come back to Wolves during the WC under the circumstances. Havent checked but assume the Belgian league is suspended during that period.

I think i saw that we had a friendly tournament set up in Turkey at some stage during the world cup. I forget the opposition.
As for Jimenez, I have a feeling the lay off lately has been partly a mental health straightener with the hope he uses the world cup trip to get some game time ready for us. Pretty sure he will play in Qatar in some capacity.

Wolves, Palace, Napoli and Turkish team Antalyaspor had a mini tournament proposed in Turkey during November/December. But that isn't finalised and there are three options on the table with Lopetegui expected to opt for Marbella for a training camp and a couple of friendlies.
