Although Kings Lynn Town are top of their league, it is two layers below ours and, like us, they were relegated last season. If any of our first team players were to step down to their level each one would be the man to watch for their opponents, so that is the mindset I’d want to infuse into Danny Schofield’s men. In other words we have 11 better players than them, so all we need to do is play our own game. The point is that perhaps higher division teams always talk about giving lower ranked opponents “respect" and perhaps that approach is not the best psychology.
KLT have won 9, drawn 3 and lost only 2 so far, but one of those two was last time they played, at Gloucester City. There is an excellent-quality 8-minute video of this match which is notable for the number of missed scoring chances on both sides with Gloucester seemingly the better team and the winning goal coming from a shot that you would have expected the Kings Lynn goalkeeper to have saved. There is also a video of their encounter with Kettering where they lost 1-0 via a penalty and a player sent off as a consequence, but KLT then crushed them on the FA Cup by 6 goals to 1. Their footballing style seems to rely mostly on pace and effort and should not pose too many problems.
Admittedly I have only looked at the games they’ve lost, but they are illustrative of how they play when they are up against it which seems to be a suitable comparator assuming that we put up a tolerably competent League 2 level game.
So 4-0 - Miller, Hirst.
One caveat - if Jones is in goal we will concede goals - even though, as he watches the ball pass him he will be deemed to “have had no chance with the goal(s)". I will revise my forecast of the score in that event.
FA Cup v Kings Lynn Town

I'm a little worried no "Big Tom". Is he injured or given a rest? However, I'll stick to what I said, but I'd love to see Taylor score...maybe he can get the second goal.
I fully understand your frustration, Donaldo. You would think with modern technology they could have service available over a certain distance from the game, and also blacked out in the opposition town. These days I cannot just listen to commentary, although I did a few years ago when there wasn't video streaming available. This season I usually have the alternative of streaming an EPL game, although NBC are inconsistent with which games are streamed on their Peacock service, and not just on cable/satellite transmissions. Today I'll watch the Leeds game and follow the Rovers on the DFP or BBC websites on my iPhone.

Just had a look at the Sky Scores stats and we've had no shots to their 8 with 4 on target.

Hmmm, what to say?

So much for the cup run.
The normality of the past two seasons returns.
Is this the end of the 'competitive' season? 😕

How bad was it? After seeing no attempts on goal in the first half, I thought we would lose 0-2, but we held out for 0-1. What an embarrassment!
Leeds were absolutely dreadful in the first half and were lucky to go in at only 1-2. Quickly went to 1-3, but two substitutions woke the team up and they came back to win 4-3. Bournemouth have lost two in a row after being two goals up.

Having listened yesterday and now seen the BBC highlights it seemed a thoroughly deserved win. KLT looked as good as any League 2 side I have seen this season and outplayed Rovers. As usual, without Mitchell in goal it would have been 3 or 4-Nil.

It is refreshing to hear a manager - head coach - admit that his team did not deserve to win a match, so credit to DS for that, but it does mean that there is a long way to go.
I am feeling rather empty of feelings for the Rovers at the moment. If I did not, I would be unhappy. My hope of seeing them get back to the Championship in my lifetime are now remote.

I just had a look at the predictions, and it is a good job that no points are deducted for being seriously wrong. Only Mooli avoided embarrassment completely by not participating, but I was the worst contestant with 4-0.
Perhaps if I had followed up with more visits to the Grassington area where I spent so many holidays in my school days, that wonderful environment would have aided the development of a clearer perception of what lies ahead, especially events at the Eco-power stadium.

Senility is setting in… I’ve just realise that Mooli DID predict a result after all. So the fresh air and cleansing rain of Wharfedale … rambling paradise of my early youth, does nothing to suppress the enthusiastic support of DRFC!

Donaldo, a more likely scenario is you might live to see Rovers and Doncaster City in the same league!
