Barca, as an entity have completely lost the plot.

Brilliant player and an outstanding trophy littered career.

For me though he won’t go down as one of the best ever in that position, plenty have been centre backs.
Also feel he was a part of that Barca side that were the best club side I’ve ever seen, rather than being a key cog that held it together.

Certainly deserves his place in their club greats though.

I agree entirely , but as my Spanish friends say,Barca hierarchy and Catalans in general ,son complicado ,y solomente para el !.. not to be trusted.

I think he's more hinting at being in a prominent position on the board tbh. He's quite switched on in a business sense

But you have to ask ............what about the money he is owed ,30 million or so I believe !

I know he is well off ! but errrr......!

Pique was very much a Barca/Spain tiki taka CB. He was the perfect CB for that style of play but overall, he wasn't one of the best CBs of his generation.

I'd say the same for Terry. He was world class in a low block, defensive system but would've looked far worse in an attacking team.

Generational CBs such as Nesta and Maldini could excel in any setup.
