Very entertaining game last night. Lots to enjoy. City have now completely internalised Pep ball - you can change the players but the football stays the same. Don't think Rico has done himself any harm, and Alvarez just gets better and better. But omg Ortega! Nothing was going to go past him - though I must admit I nearly soiled myself when Gomes headed against the post at the end. I'm really hoping that we get either Liverpool or Aston Villa in the next round. Which from memory is about six months away. Bring it on.

Heard Ortega was great! Ederson, as integral as he is to our system, must have one eye over his shoulder - can’t think of the last time our goalkeepers efforts have been commended so highly in getting a result… although I am sure it has happened a few times since Hart at WHL!

We need a cup goal keeper and this has nothing to do with Ederson who has been nothing short of amazing but more to do that we have fullbacks that make an error in crucial times in CL ties and we need Ortega to bail us out. You only need to think of Bravo to realise that even on a bad day Ederson sets high standards.
Funny enough I’m actually more annoyed about Edersons passing than his shot stopping.
