john pemberton

the evening post is now reporting john pemberton is now in the frame and so are a few other papers imo this would be a great appointment did brilliant with our reserves till billy sacked him and scrapped the reserves. with paul hart above him as technical director i think this is the sort of appointments we need.

I wouldn't want him. It would be an appointment made with the heart not the head.

I know people are saying we need a forest man, that's fine if your talking psycho or MON. I massive name that would unite everyone the second he walked through the door. But that's not going to happen.

I'd go for the lads at MK Dons or at Huddersfield. Both doing good jobs & wouldn't come with media attention, or expectations we can't match.

The club have already said they are not going for a manager currently in a "managers" role. Pembo is reserve team coach so I think that would rule him in.

Got a feeling non of us are going to enjoy who we get.

Of all the names mentioned so far I put them in 3 categories: 1 Would be happy with, eg Tisdale, Clarke, Pemberton, O'Driscoll & Robinson.
2 Could maybe do a job but wont happen eg Billy, Psycho, O'Neil, Jones & Hoddle.
3 Would'nt touch with a bargepoll eg Ince, Laws, Dowie & Bothroyd which means Arthur will land one from list 3 on us!!

Donny rovers fan in peace, if you guys want someone who can select good players from lower leagues and develop them then o'driscol will do that and also has his own entertaining style of football he likes to stamp on a team, but I got the impression he likes to keep hold and bring in a mix of good quality players that come at a price, a price which donny could never afford which I think frustrated him, so if you could fund his desire over a number of years then I think he will be a very good choice for you! Just my opinion

Ray any (renowned) manager whose not currently employed would chuck his hat in, what have they got to lose?

Ray despite being rivals I'm honest enough to appreciate that forest would be an attractive position as you are still one of the bettered supported teams in the championship
