Because of the ridiculous decision to plonk a world cup smack bang in the middle of a football season, we now have a season like no other. It may become like two seasons within one. So out of the big 'players' who will this benefit and who could potentially be disadvantaged?
City- normally I would have said it makes no difference, we'll just bulldozer our way through regardless, however I think this may have come at a good time for us. We look a bit disjointed and haven't played well since the first half of the derby game. We normally put a decent post Xmas run together so, here's hoping.
Arsenal- this can't be good for them as they are on a roll and have great momentum. It will be interesting to see how they do after the WC, I hope they run us a close second as I like the job Arteta has done and they deserve to be back challenging.
Newcastle- the surprise package of the season so far. Tracking nicely at the minute but WC may have come at a bad time for them. Can see them dropping off in the new year but should be good for a top six finish
United- WC probably come at a bad time as they are looking solid and getting over the line even when they aren't at their best (Fulham for example). They need to get rid of the ladyboy, but I think in ETH they finally have a good manager who will get them back challenging and I think they are good for a top 4 finish.
Chelsea- not sure what to make of them? The honeymoon is over for Potter, be interesting to see if they back him long term or press the panic button. Can't see them getting top 4
Liverpool- I think they will be relieved at this break. Not playing anywhere near the form of last season. Still think they will go on a run in the new year and get top 4.

Have you skipped Spurs because we beat you every year?

It could be hugely beneficial for Arsenal, tbh. We have a small squad and most of the players play every game. This chance to refresh could be pivotal.
Expecting most of our WC players to be out by the first week of December, giving them 3 weeks before the restart.

Definitely come at a good time for us, although would of been good to have just one more game to set the record straight after Brentford.
Could go either way for Arsenal, if key players are rested it will be of great help, but equally when you have momentum the last thing you want is that being take out of your own hands

The teams who have been in Europe have looked very tired the last few weeks. I think the world cup has come at a good time for everyone really.

Depends. United must be worried about Ronaldo smashing it. Everyone will know he’s not over the hill, just another world class player for the list of careers you’ve destroyed.

Without him we've played 10, won 7, drew 2 and lost 1.
We ain't worried one bit. He's washed up.

I remember when they turned on Giggs. Same lot that walk out on their team at half time.
