Loan for January Transfer Window

Think that loan was for a keeper and a right winger if rumours are to be believed.

It seems now that Ward has settled we should switch that to a fullback and a winger.

Agreed Mersey. Although if reports are to be believed, one target is Jeremie Boga, Atalanta, who has lost his place in the starting eleven to…..Ademola Lookman. Mmm.

I'd like to think this is better news. Although I was expecting most monetary input from the sale of Fofana to be used to improve the imbalance in the club's finances which has been referred to in previous posts, so it is somewhat concerning to find out that loans are being taken out against future income.

At least that may be an indication that the powers that be realise that the immediate existential threat facing the club is principally that of relegation, which needs to be avoided; bringing in a couple of players may well help with that (but please no more in the unsuitable bracket who are not even good enough to warm the bench!).

Incidentally TB, are you going to continue the anti-Brendan stance now that he has secured (for the time being) his position? I realise that the situation may change relatively quickly around Christmas given that we are only 4 points above the drop zone and the next fixtures are Newcastle (H), Liverpool (A), Fulham (H), Forest (A) and Brighton (H), so we could be back in the mire running into February and the Rodgers question may well resurface.

After a few 'easy' Games I don't see any reason to change my stance on Rodgers, European Football by the end of the Season is the target, anything less is another poor Season from him. shouldn't have thrown so many games at the start should he!
