What an absolute nob.

By all means make a protest against something you object to but ffs give the money to charity.
EDIT - It was as publicity stunt all along, no money was wasted.
He should be praised for his efforts.

Yeah, latest update is he didn't really shred the money and did in fact donate it to charity.

Fair enough then, he should be applauded for getting his point over.
Still a Julian Cleary tribute act though.

Total Wally in every sense of the word you can think of! (I’m putting it mildly in the extreme) £10k destroyed when there’s families struggling to put £10 together

I'm disappointed in Beckham, but I find this protest a bit odd.
He's basically protesting against Beckham rather than against Qatar?
Beckham's a grown man, he can do what he likes. We can have an opinion on it, but ultimately he isn't the problem here, is he.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not even really about Beckham either, it’s more a point about the societal reaction in general.

Didn't The KLF burn a load of money to make some political statement?

Yes and Bill Drummond, the guy who actually set fire to the £1m said it was the most stupid stunt he'd ever pulled in his life in retrospect.
