A lot has been made of our lack of success in the last few years, both on and off the pitch. Fans of other teams sometimes like to make out that we are stale bread and rusty, but the news that TeamViewer want to amend their contract with us dismisses this theory.
It seems that their investor, Petrus Advisers, wants to amend their contract with us and potentially increase the contract term; thus making it more lucrative over the long term.
There is some fake news circulating that TeamViewer can't afford their current deal with us and we could be left without a shirt sponsor, but TeamViewer certainly would pull their deal with Mercedes first to carry on with us I feel. Manchester United is a far bigger global brand than Mercedes, for example.

Forget the hype, Manchester United are still the team that major sponsors want to be involved with. I hope the club is strategic here and manages to either have TeamViewer's trousers down or uses it to secure a better deal with another shirt sponsor.
