Think they are starting to realize that lockdowns don't work

Lockdown doesn't work in and by itself when it has already spread beyond the initial area of the out break and other methods aren't used.

China has one of the lowest take of vaccine, especially in the elders there. Their vaccine is also worse than what's available outside the nation but the government wanted this to be a China Win (think XJP).

Once every nation got Covid-19, they should have pushed initially lockdown with vaccine, not relying in Chinese only but what is the best, whether that is Chinese or otherwise.

Secondly this would have allowed them to reduce and come out if lockdown and prevent future lockdowns. As the top haven't allowed that, the local governments won't be doing anything that doesn't go against the main government.

Their vaccines use a different tech to the ones from the West and just as we found that the mRNA ones were overall slightly more effective than the viral vector AZ & JJ etc. ones, also that cocktails of the two were overall better again. China being China will not want the riddy of being worse than the West so will plough on until they've stolen the tech & IP to develop their own.

Much of their data hasn't been peer reviewed and in any case most of it focuses on antibody levels and T-cell counts when the RoW has moved on from those data because what those numbers mean when it comes to how the immune system reacts is very complex. Best data is coming from Brazil that shows poor effectiveness against death in the very old - 30-50% numbers and they have resorted to mRNA and cocktail approaches.
