this coming from a fanbase that thinks 8000 fans mid 80s is more relevant that 70 -80 k fans in the 50s and 60s stats are so flexible they be bent to enhance any dumb argument

Chelsea purchased a couple of trophies with money they could not pay back Pre Abramovich. Then had to get bailed out from going bust.

Chelsea have never had much of a history of winning trophies without dodgy money. Small club in West London punching above their weight with laundered Russian money.

If you hadn’t stopped ‘supporting’ Spurs from 1984 until Bale cam along, then you would know Scholar tried and failed to buy success at Spurs. He signed Gazza and Lineker, the club was going best, so he begged Maxwell and Sugar to bail Spurs out

A real shame Gaza went to Spurs. Like Greaves and Kane, he never achieved greatness at club level

goes to show if chelsea are such a small club (historically higher atteandances than spurs btw) than how come spurs haven't won more in 50 years than chelsea did in 5.

Why limit it Nick? If Spurs were so much bigger & better than Chelsea until recently, how did it take us less than 20 years to overhaul a 100+ year gap when it came to overall trophies won? We've not overtaken Man U, Liverpool or Arsenal but somehow we have overtaken Spurs?

So either Abramovich did everything perfectly (which we all know isn't true), or maybe Spurs aren't as big of a deal as some of their fans think they are?

Spurs are Everton and Newcastle levels. Although now Newcastle may move ahead with their new owners

lets be honest how often do fans of other clubs describe Spurs as a big club.... not very often.
