If you offer me these two players to build a team around , I'm taking Luka Modric each and every time.
He keeps the game simple yet very effective and productive.
What a winner he is
Neymar scored a goal today but he was pretty poor in the game. Came across to me as a little arrogant and complacent on the ball throughout the match and that's how he's always looked to me every time I watch him.
But what Modric is doing at his age for Madrid and indeed for Croatia in this World Cup is quite exceptional in my opinion.
Take a bow , Luka , take a bow ...

So I was really looking forward to this Argentina Holland game but the commentary is absolutely atrocious seven minutes in. Gonna give the first half a miss I think

Modric is just a magnificent player. Cool, calm, visionary, technically great and oozes class. Also comes across as a genuine humble decent guy who leads and inspires his team.

Brazil were the only team trying to win the game to be fair, Croatia`s game plan was penalties from the off, and they only changed once they went behind, Brazil deserved the victory more than Croatia but it just proves there is more than one way to skin a cat and Croatia took advantage of some Brazilian complacency and poor substitute decisions.

Modric is incredible. To be still pretty much at his peak at 37 is amazing.
With the other modern greats, the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Xavi, Iniesta their decline was visible at younger ages.
