So which player is going to bring

a World Cup winners medal back to WHL? Or are none of them going to?

Perisic (Croatia)
Kane (England) oh and Dier (that would be hilarious )
Lloris (France)
Romero (Argentina)

Richi is on his way back, so that is a bit of a blessing. Need him up to speed for Boxing Day.

As a footnote to my above post, has anyone else thought of how much irony attached to Kane picking up a WC winners medal ?

Just think of all those bitter comments over the years from gooners at all the others that "Kane has never won a medal"

What a way for him to throw that back in their faces by being able to say "there you go, does winning the biggest medal of them all count"

( not to mention we, as Spurs fans, could relentlessly do the same )

I think (English) Arsenal fans would be quite happy for Kane to lift the World Cup and win nothing with Spurs. I don’t see how that’s an L for Arsenal fans at all

Would be super funny if he spends his whole career at spurs and an international tournament is all he wins, with spurs paying his salary his whole career 😂

Kane. This tournament is shaping up for an England win, it’s all falling into place.

If Kane does win then will he be the only player ever to win the World Cup and nothing else?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To be honest I just don't fancy England. They exactly mirror Spurs, lots of promise, but never get over the line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ll give you your dues here Sandy.,spot on. It was even spurs that facked us

I kid, don’t blame Kane for that miss, pressure was immense. He’s not the first and won’t be the last, usually so deadly from the penalty spot too. Is what it is.

Hard enough taking a second, but it was probably at the back of his mind that he might need to take a third as well in a shootout.

Could you imagine the little mental games in your head under that pressure if you had to go take a pen in a shoot out (against a club mate you taken 100’s against) after taking 2 already in one game? Crazy.

It ended up one to Kane, one to Lloris.
They practice against one another week in week out.
Having beat Lloris with the first to Lloris's left, he had to decide to go right or stay left.
He decided left with power and put it over.
He'll want that kick back for a very long time.
I doubt any other player on the England team at that moment would have volunteered to take that penalty.

Actually Kane's left, Lloris' right.

Yeah, it was ballsy. I wonder if it even occurred to him that he could delegate?
