Apparently Brendan is first choice for the FA if Gareth decides he's had enough. TB of course would be deliriously happy with that, but who would we get instead? Frighteningly, Southgate would be available!

At least they'd probably be stupid enough to pay his buy out clause.
Can't see it myself though as wonderful as it'd be, wouldn't go down well at all in his homeland.

If this happens it will be like Roberto Martinez going to Belgium. He’d be a disaster for England he’s a complete bottler and can only work when the team is an underdog.
