I have seen more than enough of Nketiah to realise that if we don’t get a decent striker or goal scoring attacking mf in January, we are going to fall away like a stone. I really hope that Smith-Rowe gets back to full fitness soon and can chip in with some goals. Whoever thinks that Nketiah is going to do a job for us has not watched him play. He’s an impact sub at best.

Scored what looked to be a perfectly legitimate goal yesterday.

2 in fact.
Also outscored Gabriel Jesus in each of their last 14 Arsenal PL starts.

Let's just stick to the plan and get Mudryk. Nketiah proved last season give a chance he can do the business, hence he was give a serious contract. Plus Martinelli can play through the middle. We have a long term plan and every time a player gets injured we cant just go and buy a direct replacement.

In normal circumstances you would probably say we'd have to make do with Nketiah but we are in a very good position to win the league, we may not be in this position next season. With that in mind we have to go out and get someone who will score and do the job that Jesus does and Nketiah just isn't that player.
I'm less interested in the talk of another wide man coming in. I think it's more important we have an adequate replacement for Partey.

Lewandowski would be a good fit but may take a lit of persuading

Jesus hasn't really been scoring goals but his other contributions have more than made up for it.
Nketiah isn't a bad finisher and seems to have that nack of being in the right place at the right time but I fear that won't be close to enough to keep this team in top form.
The side appears to suit a link up striker, with the ability to make runs/create space but also hold up the ball and play others in. Goals end up being shared across several players.
If there's a striker in a similar style that would be good to continue continuity in Arteta's tactics, if they happen to be a more clinical finisher than Jesus then that's a massive bonus

The question I'd ask is, "How many teams in the PL would Nketiah start for if all their strikers were fit?"
I'd say 2 is a stretch (Bournemouth and Forrest). So..should he start for league leaders?? I'd say absolutely not.
He misses sitters and will score the random great goal. He has purple patches but overall, if I was a prem defender and heard that I was going up against Nketiah, I'd think we stood a good chance to limit him to the bare minimum.
