Ted for 80 minutes, France never kicked a ball, the only shot they had on target was the penalty. That does not make a good game if football. It was only exciting in extra time and the penalties. In fact most of the goals were penalties.

It was an OK gsme. Plenty of finals that have been better.

1954 Germany
1958 Brazil
1966 England
1970 Brazil
1978 Argentina
1982 Italy

Those are just a few I consider better.

Either you are totally blind, Sandy, or you were confusedly watching the wrong game.
Yes the French were dominated in the first half. But there are two halves to a football game, don't you know?
And the first half midfield battle was won by Argentina, but not so the second half.
This was as fine as game of football as you will see in 2022-2023.
Now back to mud wrestling and tiddlywinks in the Premier league.

I support Spurs, not ENIC. I supported Spurs long before ENIC arrived, when we used have great ambition, break transfer records, win trophies and act like a big club.

That was a great final. Probably the best in my lifetime with the GOAT silencing Piers Morgan's rent boy.

A fitting final for a good world cup.

Would probably give it 7.5 out of 10 overall.

It was a decent final, but not a patch on the 1970 final, which was in my opinion the best ever.

I think the Brazil team was as good a team as I have seen, but the final was a mismatch, 4-1 and Brazil could have gone up a gear at any time.
