We bought Fofana instead and he looks like a cripple so knows if we've made the right decision

As a player Fofana is clear, hope he doesn’t become another perma crock

Upamecano didn't look spectacular either. Wild player, good/fun players to have in a squad anywhere but in goal & centre back

I've seen Upamecano play a fair few times now and he's never ever impressed me. Setting aside club loyalties, Konate impresses me a lot more

Yep Konate is well clear of Upamecano IMO.

Upamecano looks like a bumbling oaf everytime he played and bar a few good blocks at the end on the final he was garbage. Konate looks way more impressive, even Saliba looks better.

Why does it have to take watching Kounde play in a (small sample sized) world cup to realise club dodged a Kounde shaped bullet and isn't of the required standard, when signs already existed from club ventures...

Almost subjected to Kounde wingback shifts (+ Chalobah gone), If Tuchel had his way! Ghastly.
