Our second away win of the season (in the cup), a big fat Christmas belly and a nice 7am kick-off (Sydney time).
It’s been a remarkable 12 months, regardless of this result. Winning promotion, QFs of the FA Cup and QFs of the League Cup.
Last Game Overview:
An absolute battering of Blackburn chances wise, but for anyone who watched we should have had them dead and buried by half-time. Before that a deserved win against Palace, after seemingly turning a corner courtesy of a 4-0 battering by Leicester.
The Good: The Away fans, Lingard, Scarpa waiting in the wings.
The Bad: Should’ve scored more.
The Ugly: Mangala didn’t look like the Kouyate replacement we need, and Worrall was having a bit of a mare.
Special Mention: Cooper – looks like he has got the flu.
Overall Record:
Currently we stand at W33 D24 L48
23 years since we played Man U. Losing 8-1…I’m sure we all remember that one. We’ve lost six straight against them and haven’t won there since Stan in 94. I was 18!
Injuries / Signings:
Too soon for Scarpa. Henderson illegible.
Kouyate, Niakhate, Richards injured.
Aurier and MGW likely to return.
Your Opposition Story:
I went to watch Man U the last time I was in the UK (2015/16). Rooney was awful, the atmosphere was awful, and my Man U supporting mate was all over me like a rash! Which was surprising as that was me 10 years prior. However, whilst I had aged like a cheap wine…her not so much. My ex would be glad to hear I was faithful…if she was still talking to me!

We have 8 points from our last 5 games. 10 points for Man U. Their last win being 2-1 away against Fulham.
13 points from 6 for them at home. 2 points from 6 for us away.

Prediction:
A draw would be amazing, but a win? We are 10-1 at the bookies.
Will they be tired from the WC…well, they didn’t look it against Burnley. Rashford’s goal not quite as good as Johnson’s, but a similar effort to make it 2-0.
As much as I would love to see a win I think Rashford will get the better of us. Probably Garnacho and 1-2 others as well.

Interesting comment from him about a posters daughters age given the uproar and complaints made to admin when I made a similar joke (which I apologised for) many years ago and he’s never let go since. The very definition of hypocrite for you. The guy is an appalling waste of space who like most cowards goes into hiding when you take him on.

Agree and this is probably long overdue, as Chile says, there is no humour or banter with him, just hateful comments. I think I am right in that he had bans from the entire site because of stuff he said on other teams boards. It’s only a good thing if he is unable to comment on our match threads moving forward
Bear also has a point as I have also had comments deleted on the derby board, even when being supportive during some of the dark moments last season. Bit of a shame as there are some of their fans on this site who are knowledgeable and very amusing, seem like a decent group of football fans.
Fingers crossed they come up this year and then engaging will be a bit easier, but obviously not with Igor.
