In my opinion we sold Toby and Verts at the right time, we just didn't replace them very well.

It's funny you should mention Toby. I was thinking during the world cup Toby and Verts are still a country mile better all the CB's we have currently in our squad.
Still cant believe that we did not try harder to keep both of them. They'd still be playing for us now.

When you compare them to a current set of clowns (lenglet and Romero excused for the moment as haven’t been there as long) then yeah they would probably and should still make our team
Think the prem became a bit too quick for them though and we sold them at the right time
Our defence would still be a shambles if they still with us but just not as shambolic

Toby & Verts played in the just past World Cup.
And De Bruyne's comment on the team, when asked by the press, was "too old". Twelve of the 26 man squad were over 30.
The Belgium team were ranked 2 in the world going in to the tournament but never made it out of Group F.
