Klopp, Pep, Fergie, Wenger have probably matched those results but with far superior squads.
Mikel is doing it with Xhaka, Odegaard and Partey, probably the best midfield in England on par with only City.
Along with City and Liverpool, deploy a very Highline but don't concede 20 chances like Liverpool and with the best defensive record.
Barca will be all over Arteta this summer.

Arsenal keep answering the questions, last night posed it’s own with them going 1 down, and historically I doubt they would not have turned that into a win. I don’t think their start has been more or less difficult than ours tbh, quite similar, they have just not dropped the silly points that we have - and in terms of winning the league, that’s how it’s done.
Obviously there is a double fixture between City and Arsenal in this half of the season, but, if Arsenal can maintain a 5 point lead going into them (or better) then they will certainly have their tails up for getting the results they need.
Fair play, good to see them competing back at the top. This is a good a chance as any to take advantage of City and Liverpool failing to fire on all cylinders.

Arsenal need to strengthen in January, that's our weakness at the moment, we don't have a big squad.

None of those managers had the easiest start in Premier league history.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What have you been smoking you deluded numpty? We've played more away games compared to home for starters. Man City have had easier fixtures compared to us yet they sit 8 points behind us with a game in hand.
Arsenal beat Chelsea whereas Spurs fluked a draw. Arsenal beat Brentford whereas Spurs fluked another draw. Arsenal beat Liverpool whereas Spurs lost.
So much for easier fixtures.

Oh that's just facts.

Yeah Arsenal have a great balance in the system. I agree on your point about Liverpool this season. Liverpool have still not found a balance and therefore concede a host of chances.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Make no mistake That's Klopp football. I don't think Klopp cares too much if he concedes 2-4 good chances in a game as he will back his attackers to score more and he knows the majority of teams in the league don't have the ability to convert 1 chance let alone 2 or 3. That's why the villa match was a fluke in 2020 because literally every chance was a goal and hence they scored 7 but it just doesn't happen.
Problem is liverpool are conceding too many good chances and if Nunez who admittedly is a Klopp type of chaotic player but simply doesnt make good decisions in the final third. Once Nunez gets it right, I actually think Liverpool are going to go back to being destructive.
Think back to Mane , Salah and Firminho in full flow. Skillfull, pacey attacking players playing 100 mile football. Granted Nunez is not as skillful but he has everything else except finishing which will come.
I think the challenge Liverpool will have is getting hard working midfielders to compliment their front 3. I dont think Bellingham will fix the issues they have in retaining the ball and preventing attacks.

Yeah to an extend but in recent seasons we've had an excellent balance, which means we have challenged City. We have conceded very few goals. This season we don't have that balance and when we've went a goal up we've tried to reign it in and be more defensive, keeping the ball to sort that out. We've never done that before. We've made a conscious tactical decision due to the balance issue causing us to concede way too many chances.
We won't win leagues doing that. We may qualify for the CL. That's not enough which is why we need to find the balance again. We're going through a bit of a rebuild which is probably why the balance issues are occurring but it needs sorted.

A lot of fun was made of Pep when he lauded the liverpool front 3 in one of the amazon videos but in a few words what he was trying to say is that unless you play deep and park the bus (something he could never do) there was no way of stopping salah, mane and firminho.
No defender could stop Mane and Salah running at them in full flight. Thats why for a few matches after that amazon video most matches between City and liverpool ended as draws as Pep dropped the line a bit to deny them space. Klopp even complained last season that the City Full backs dont go beyond the half way line
For all the laughs at Nunez, if he finds a way to score then Liverpool could be back to terrorizing defences but like you say the balance isnt right and Im hopeful that you wont find the midfield and defensive balance to effectively play this way.
Confidence is something else the back line needs but your midfield and one of the fullback positions need to be tweaked.

It's normally difficult to have respect for a rival manager but it's easy with Guardiola and to a lesser extent City in general. I've never seen a more respectful rivalry which is why I don't understand the idiots that let both sides down.

In general when Pep says Klopp is the hardest opponent he has faced it’s not media talk or fake praise. Basically he is saying that he actually doesn’t have many of any solution for a Klopp team playing at full pelt. It’s really a clash of styles because Pep can’t play deep football so he will always concede against a Klopp team.
Before the Real Madrid collapse I was confident City would beat Liverpool in the final if they went through. Same way I felt before the collapse against Spurs 4 years ago. But when I look at the clashes between the teams I just think Liverpool have the upper hand as their forwards tend to take their chances than our forwards.
Maybe Haaland and Alvarez change that but I just feel we struggle to dominate teams for sustained periods with Haaland in the team. There is no way Pep doesn’t alter his game. He has to occupy deeper areas to make the team more effective.
Think in cup matches or one off matches Liverpool have the upper hand. But over a league season even with similar squads I will always back Pep. If you double the league games I think Pep wins by an even wider margin. It’s no slight on Klopp but I just think Pep’s brand of football is more sustainable long term.

There's a lot of Arsenal fans eating humble pie now. 18 months ago most of you wanted him gone.
He's doing a very good job and has built a very exciting young vibrant team. I still think City will beat you home and away and take the title but not much shame in that.
Arsenal have finally got their act together and it's good for the league tbh. I'd rather you lot win it over City but can't see it.
