Improvement in Spurs squad

What areas of Spurs squad are stronger now than at the demise of Pochettino?

The one area is the addition of a back-up/ additional Striker in Richarlison, are there actually any other areas that are stronger/have been improved ?

Why do people continually bang on about Conte being a bad fit for Spurs, it is actually the owners that are a bad fit for Spurs, not our elite manager who has a proven track record of winning silverware wherever he goes.

Sadly, some fans suffer from extreme Stockholm Syndrome, ENIC have been here for so long now that some people have started to think like they do.

Well, I`ve got some news for them, things could actually operate on a different level under new owners with a new level of ambition for the football operation. But unfortunately we are stuck with these current parasites, who continue to run the club on a shoe string, making ridiculous decisions along the way.

You don`t employ top level managers such as Mourinho and Conte, and then not give them full backing, but that is exactly what ENIC do.

They are a farcical ownership, doing nothing more than using the football club as a vehicle for their property developments and other business interests, they need hounding out and have done for years.

I think their time is running out Billy, more and more fans are switched on now as to how bad our board are. With a cost of living crisis and more fans getting priced out of home games - when Levy increases costs again this summer whilst announcing record revenue and us winning faaaack all and pleading poverty in the transfer windows, the penny will finally drop even with our thickest fans that Levy and Enic have had their pants round their ankles for years

There's an obvious contradiction there. While I agree that you have to back a proven winner, Enic and Levy got us to the point where we can hire those names. Prior to them we were a mid table cup team.

They've done a great job of elevating us and making the 'Big 6' a thing. I think the next step is getting a chairman and possibly owners who can make the transition into winning things at this level. Just like you have a manager that gets you promoted but you likely need a different one to stay up.

Whether it's chucking big money at transfers or sacking managers every 6 months.. some kind of edge. I dunno. But I think Levy has proven by now his approach is not getting the required results on the pitch. And when it nearly has it's almost down to circumstances rather than by design. I mean, he admitted himself he didn't expect Poch to get us into the top 4 so quick, and I think that was reflected in his (lack of) response in the transfer market etc.

The first decade of Levy’s tenure was brilliant, but he is out of ideas and cannot take the next step. You can’t hire Conte and then not back him properly in the market - that is how Conte operates. If your going to operate stingily then hire a manager that is suitable to that process.

It’s just so amateurish

The team that Poch ended with wasn’t particularly good as all the great players had got old.

However our XI vs the 16/17 squad is concerning with Romero being the only definite inclusion.

Loris
Walker Romero Jan Toby Rose
Dembele Bentancur
Eriksen
Kane Son

Kulu, Richy and PEH on the bench - Conte would have cleaned up with that side

Weird way around to lineup the CBs.

I don’t know if you’d need a more defensively minding CM beside Dembele there and I do think Conte wouldn’t have liked Dembele.
