Sees our Final home game of the 2012 Euro qualifying in what has been a very disappointing and frustrating campaign.
Love these Internationals games on a Friday evening and as always will have a few customary “shandies" before and after the game, but it is becoming more difficult to get served anywhere close to the ground. A few have recommended Porterhouse for a meal and good beer.
Have any of you eejits tried this place, or can you recommend other establishments where one can enjoy a pint without queuing for an hour, and please not in a plastic container ?
Now Back to less important matters
We have discussed the merits of our current manager and the overwhelming consensus amongst the supporters is that a change is both necessary and inevitable. Who will take over will be the subject of further articles no doubt.
On to the actual game and I see that Mr Evans has once again withdrawn, which appears the norm. He played his mandatory one game in a row. Ward has his customary hamstring injury, McQuoid is unavailable, and other players are being chased to declare their allegiance.
Just waiting now for Kyle to trip over the remote and Brunt to pull a muscle in his eyebrow.
As Oliver said to Stanley, Another Fine Mess
Have left the Aaron Hughes injury for a separate paragraph as he is on a different planet to the previously mentioned.
It is a real pity that we wont have the opportunity to salute him on the pitch, wearing his Captains armband. A very consistent performer, fine servant, and excellent ambassador for our wee Country
We will of course fully support the players who take to the pitch, and trust that any derogatory comments about the manager are left behind in the bars and clubs on the Lisburn Road. The team need our support more than ever and it is a true supporter who backs his team through the difficult times that we are currently experiencing.
With the personnel available am not expecting a decent result to be honest, but would demand an attacking and positive line up, and 100% effort from the team.
Oh, and a goal would be nice.
Might bring my boots.

Porterhouse is not that great to be honest, The Globe or The Bot are far better pubs to watch the footie in....................

Barry
I am one of those rare breeds who actually go to the games.
Looking for a decent place to have a few pints and a bit of grub, before/after.
The places you mention are packed to the rafters . Cant be bothered with the queues and plastic glasses.

Lafferty probably wrapped in cotton wool and under 24 hour supervision to make sure he doesnt get injured. If any more players drop out it will be a disaster.
At least McCourt is back.
Playing for pride now and just hope that some of these players have some.

Its been 20 years since I drank in Belfast but you can't go wrong with The Crown, Robinsons or Kellys Cellar?
