It's that time....the end of a year that might seem normal but isnt.
Its first full year of no real restrictions but still people under so much pressure of trying to bring their business back to life, or survive financially and our country has been in turmoil for much of it with complete clowns at the helm.
Our club has also been in turmoil, a season that none of us expected the loss of a really special manager and a sense of just not building on great work done before.
But we made it through the year, fuelled by Highlandwhite's mhtchday threads, maybe he'll get an MBE for services for football, they tend to give these of course to very old people rather than people who actually did anything, but I think he deserves one at least on the age factor.
Then there's PenshawDave with his amazing competitions, most older folk retire to a potting shed, he has a faraday cage protected IT den where he has super computers whizzing through spreadsheets calculating points, well done Dave.
There there's the rest of us, with a myriad of different views of football and Leeds specifically but all of us identify as Leeds fans wherever we go in the world and whatever we do in life and this little ja606 intersects all our lives for us.
I'd like to wish all of you and your families a happy new year, hope you have good health and that we keep on going through these ups and downs.
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year one and all, wherever you are. A word to those among us who lost loved ones this year, to my lovely Aine who sat with me through many ups and downs, from the eighties, until our glorious victory at Brentford. What a great game to sign off on, Aine!

Happy anew Year guys.
A little story from our recent travels:
We went for a few days to a place called Chiang Dao. It was really out in the sticks and in the mountains about two hours from Chiang Mai.
As we were visiting a rather interesting animal sanctuary I spotted an old guy having a foot massage and had to double take when I spotted LUFC colours.
I tried to ask him about the shirt but he didn’t speak English, so I shouted my son over who asked him if he was a Leeds fan and told him we were fans from Leeds.
Expecting the Leeds salute by return I gave him my best shot. He then looked at my son and said that he found the shirt and just liked the colours.
Gutted - I thought I’d found my most remote Leeds fan ever.
Let’s hope 2023 brings us all good health and happiness.

One of the best parts I agree. I gave a couple of salutes in Bangkok. Mostly to Leeds fans
