It feels like every season we hear how Chelsea are a goal scorer away from competing

So, it's part of a vast eternal plan then !

I'll hazard a guess & say people's associations of us from the outside are Chelsea can be relied on for being defensively secure & having a midfield with pace, power & energy that'll outfight you? Kinda like the Atletico Madrid of the PL - we fill that quota right?

What I've never associated Chelsea with was being Louis Van Gaal's wet dream team which is what we've become lately. And yes it's painfully boring.

The plan should be to get rid of the flotsam and jetsam,ditch 'em overboard ...ASAP !

Potter is not the problem here harle, he has probably half a dozen quality players tops to play with, and he’s been missing 4 of them virtually the whole time he’s been here. Not one player at his disposal at the moment has been one of his signings and the summer signings, that cost a fortune a few short months ago, have arguably taken the club backwards.

This squad, in my opinion, is years away from challenging for top honours at the moment and Pep, Klopp, or even that bloke from Bethlehem FC won’t change that. The problem is exactly the same as it was under Tuchel, the Leeds performance was probably the worst performance of the season in my eyes and Potter wasn’t even here for that.

He does need to get ruthless with the players that are failing the club but that’s easier said than done as it’s going to be impossible to replace the whole frontline we currently have, with fit for purpose replacements. The Aubayamang signing left me speechless and now the Broja injury has left us with no focal point for the attack whatsoever.

The club has been sleepwalking into this position for years, a top manager like Tuchel couldn’t sort it but now everyone is after Potters head because he can’t perform miracles.

Did you not watch the pre season friendly against Arsenal? I don't used pay much attention to pre season friendlies but that one was embarrassing the way we were swatted away like an annoying mosquito - that should have been an alarm call for you!
