Weβve gone from a near quadruple to a calamity of a season in 6 months. Questionβs seriously need to be asked soon?
Absolutely everything that could go wrong has gone wrong this season and Iβm getting sick of the lack of consistency at this club.
What has gone wrong?

it is a combination of factors that we are so poor atm
1. squad exhaustion. 60+ games last season.
2. 5 years plus with same nucleus of players that are starting to go pst their best(VVD, hendo, milner, mane, firmino)
3. promisimg youth players that are not yet ready to step up and replace the old guard.
4. the aging players cannot maintain the energy of klopp tactics to press relentlessly, making the high-line dangerous.
5. the aging squad trying to play 60+ games and press = injuries. this puts more pressure on the fit players = more injuries
i personally think the owners have done us well. saved from liquidation and learned from mistakes(moneyball/hodgson/super league etc etc). rejuvenated the stadium/training facilities, streamlined the business making us hugely profitable and got our back of house in terms of training/scouting/club management among the worlds best.
do they spunk money everwhere? no. but they made us an effective businrss that spends what it earns,no more. i like what we are. id like investment to take our spend tot the next level and really take on city and madrid etc. but id be quite happy with fsg still here too. better the devil you know
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree. However not buying a midfielder in 4.5 yrs is a travesty

all id add is that we do need mf investmetn immediately togive us the energy to press again and make klopps tactics work. until then, be it jan or summer, we need a tweak of tactics.
- drop back by 10yds to minimise a huge source of our conceded goals.
- double pivot mf and a number 10 to help shield the cbs.
that will help. then hopefully injury replief to replenish squad strength

Chelsea need to be very careful atm, they are bringing so many players in and when has that ever worked?
Successful teams have always had a consistent team with a spine of 4/5 players, leaders. Potter doesn’t know his best team, he’s got an owner who hasn’t a clue what he is doing!
He needs time but when do Chelsea ever give time to any manager?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelseas current owners are obliged to spend a cwrtain amount over thr nexr 10 years. It was 1 of the conditions of the purchase.
Madness.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not madness as at all. That's how it should be. If you want to buy a club then you need to be willing to spend and invest in it. Should be part of any purchase in my eyes.
Klopp under Boehly's ownership would be completely different and not so scattergun. He knlws we need a MF o2 and Boehly would allow him to go and get one straightbaway. Not this buy to sell cobblers that Liverpool have to do

Let’s ask this question again at 10pm on Saturday after we’re knocked out of the FA Cup.

We've been pretty consistent for like 5 years now. I agree with the article but you can't be serious with this part.

I've always wondered about our accounts. We've been very successful and still have less to spend than the likes of Chelsea, who have won next to fack all for years except the CL they fluked a few years ago.
Where would Boehly hypothetically get extra funds to spend when FSG can't? Would he be able to I cease revenue more than FSG? Would Boehly cook the books or add a few mysterious sponsors like City?

This all is true.
Liverpool invested a lot of money but not in the right positions imo.
Why signing Gakpo? You havent got an offensive problem. That will come automatically back when Liverpool improve in other areas of the game.
Also I think that Kloppo's magic to motivate players might not work the way it did before.
