Southampton v Forest / Match Thread

A draw with Chelsea is always nice. They got a lucky goal, but we scored the equaliser and hit the crossbar. The second half performance the best of the season. Let’s hope we can take that on the road.

Last Game Overview:

Feels like we should’ve won it.

The Good: The second-half. Awoniyi. Aurier’s finish.

The Bad: The first-half.

The Ugly: Chelsea’s goal.

Special Mention: MGW’s surprise inclusion.

Overall Record:

Currently we stand at W50 D27 L39

The last time we were in the Premier League / played them away. We won 2-1.

Injuries / Signings:

Kouyate, Lingard, Niakhate and Richards injured.

Time for Scarpa to shine.

Your Opposition Story:

Never been to a game at Southampton.

Form:

Ours is better.

Team:

Henderson
Aurier Worrall Boly Lodi
Mangala Freuler Yates
Johnson Awoniyi MGW

Prediction:

An early goal for us, an equaliser for them…a late winner for Scarpa.

2-1 to Forest.

Second half didn’t sound pretty but three very valuable points.

Only 1 shot on target all game by either team!

Tells its own story that! But at least it was us that got the goal and a massive 3 points

Technically we are equal 13th in the table, only GD keeps us 15th, settle for that for now.

Festa at home and Bournemouth away are the next 2 fixtures in the league, minimum of 4 points from those and we’d be in decent shape. We also have 2 cup games before those so we have a nice distraction to keep us interested. Feels good to be a Garibaldi at the moment.

When Scarpinha came on, he really demonstrated what he can do. He didn't make a bad pass, the same as at Valencia.

When he gets used to the pace in the Premier league, I think he will be awesome...

He looks quality and may well give us a different dimension going forwards.

Today he came on for MGW but seeing them combine together will be very tasty!

I really can't see the Saints lose this one, you couldn't even beat a poor Chelsea team !
