......for one of our super talented, highly rated, astronomically over paid super stars ,to actually go out on to the pitch tomorrow and give us fans, something to actually enjoy and get excited about ! maybe even a goal or two,or even show some effort and inclination ! even if, as I expect, we lose .... .....It's all we ask !
Is it possible ...............

I've not mentioned Potter in this article because it's about the players,I know he is in charge, but i'm pretty certain that he will improve things once they untie his hands from behind his back ,and rid the club of the deadwood and get a couple of sensible signings in.

Totally agree Harle. It's very easy to focus on any manager but his best and most important players are always injured and the remaining players we have for the most part just aren't up to it sadly.
We don't have anywhere near enough creative quality or players who can put the ball in the net. And to say this squad needs a total overhaul is no exaggeration.

Potter has not helped himself however, reluctance to play zakaria who has impressed.
Sticking with koulibaly over chalobah.
Lack of minutes for Broja.
Playing a load of seniors in a dead rubber cl game where we'd already qualified.
Hardly introducing any other young players.
Limited minutes for chuk.
Lack of gametime for gallagher, hutchinson and hall.

And should James still have been on the pitch when he got injured. 2-0 up at half time, he should have been hauled.

Fair points Nick but I see these more as nitpicks than anything that would have significantly changed much so far. You're surely not happy with this squad right ?
This is a problem squad, we don't have any real goalscorers to speak of. We can say Broja should have played more but he has 18 appearances this season with just one goal.
We're also desperately short on creative players. When Reece James and Chilwell don't play we kiss goodbye to most of the creativity in this team which is particularly worrying when you consider that they're just fullbacks.
We shouldn't be particularly relying on them when it comes to making things happen up front. We should have that quality in midfield and our forwards but sadly it just isn't there.

You have to ask the question, just how much say does Pots have in choosing the team and the tactics ,it seems to me that he's still on the outside looking in as far as the future plans and transfers are concerned, maybe TB and co just want a yes man and are still making all the decisions ,which wouldn't surprise me at all as it's still early doors for them !
All of this would of course have an effect on the players, especially the ones who are likely to be leaving in the (hopefully) near future .
We have just got to grit our teeth for the rest of this season and take it on the chin, hopefully when things have subsided and our proper team(football wise and management wise) is settled, we can get back to our rightful position.

Na these players have no backbone, no fight, no impetus.
Will be city by 4 or 5 at least.
Reckon we will huff and puff for 15 minutes before KDB scores and we will fall apart.

Football very rarely delivers exactly what you expect to happen. Even if we lose tonight I'll actually be surprised if we don't come out of it thinking that was OK.
Have a feeling this is gunna be one of those matches that delivers false hope we might win only to be snuffed out in the second half. Kinda like the Liverpool game last year only they'll kill us off eventually

Well, so after last nights game, I must say that I did enjoy some of it, I didn't get excited ,but I nearly did,and I didn't see us score any goals...........again !

Despite the train wrecks we've had to watch for awhile, we usually turn up vs. City/Liverpool/Spurs. This was actually more predictable than most people realized. Not even gunna gloat that I called it.
