Four days in and still waiting for transfer activity. I'm hoping for a couple of much needed players at least. Our priority has to be a striker. I find it ridiculous that we let Werner and Lukaku go without first finding a replacement. Surely they would have been much better than what we have had to endure so far this season. In fact, any half decent premier league striker would have done better.
We spent all summer chasing Kounde and had the paperwork ready to be ratified and for some inexplicable reason we allowed Barcelona to step in. Now Kounde may not have been the best option but better than Koulibaly who looks way out of his league, he would have been. And we seriously need a full-back. Why is Maatsen out on loan when he's better that any option we have after Chilwell? And similar could be asked about Dujon Sterling on the right. Although I am happy to see the versatile Hall coming into the first team.
We probably should have accepted long ago that Jorginho, an extremely talented player, is just too slow to play as a holding player in the premier league. We need a decent midfielder, we need to get Kante fit and playing and signed up to a new contract.
We have some very good players who need to play in their own positions and in a system which looks to create chances and not only dominate possession. Tuchel had the same problem. We counter-attack at pace, often having an overload and inexplicably turn back and play sideways.
I really hope Potter does find his way but I think we should have gone for Pochettino who would also have offered long term stability. Our current situation is not entirely his fault, Cucurella, Koulibaly and Aubameyang are not the answer to our problems and we will not get even half our money back.
What can we expect this window?

What can we expect this window?
For us to be linked with every player going and end up panic buying on deadline day when we don't get our primary targets

Seems like Chelsea just rush about throwing money at names other team are linked with.
This has been the case for a few years and the reason why their squad is all over the place. I think Potter has done a schit job but they don’t need any more turmoil, desperate for stability.

Pochetino - he came 3rd in a two horse race in 2016 and managed the impossible by not winning the French league with PSG - Good luck with that!!

No team got more points than his team did from the date he took over that season, he actually lifted them to 2nd.
Tuchel lost them that league.

Both of them dropped the same amount of points (16), Pochettino played one more game.
Joint effort, both as average that season (by PSG's standards) as each other.
