Dennis Violet comes to mind, in fact I can only really think it was him. Alec Dawson wasn't that good and Bobby was on the wing. I didn't cheat si I'll look it up now

United since Ronaldo last played for the club.

Its a long season and I think things will look different come May... I think we can say that City will be comfortably ahead of us, unfortunately.

But with Liverpool and Chelseas implosion, its interesting to see what might happen.

I dunno if we can, Winston. City haven’t looked that good this season. Hence why we are a point behind them.

Maybe, but given the respective squads, I'll be hugely surprised if we finish above or on a par with them.

Every season, before the halfway mark, therr are some rash judgements about who will achieve what and invariably, clubs finish where you might expect.

Like the United of old, it's hard to imagine City not going on a run.

Yeah I understand that. I’m just not sure it’s fair to say they’ll finish above us comfortably at this stage. They’ve got some systemic problems and it seems like some motivational ones as well. It wouldn’t surprise me if you are right, of course. But they’ll need to massively improve for that to happen.

Not sure it’s unfair, based on recent history and squad depth, either! But let’s hope I’m wrong, either way.

True but based on recent history and squad depth you could say they’d finish comfortably ahead of Arsenal. But I think that would be an unfair claim when you look at how the teams are playing and where the momentum lies.

Absolutely, and there are anomalies… but it’s still reasonable to believe they’ll finish above Arsenal.
