Oxlade-Chamberlain starting...

This tells a story, the fact that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can get in your first 11 shows the level of drop-off that has occurred.

Of course Liverpool have injuries & will improve but I'm an Arsenal supporter & I KNOW that Oxlade-Chamberlain flatters to deceive, you get the odd glimmer that raises your hopes but ultimately over the long term he is "Mr-No-End-Product" - & he gets injured a lot as well. When Liverpool were at their best he got nowhere near the first 11.

Klopp is a genius & has done miracles to keep Liverpool so strong for such an extended period but ultimately like Arsenal they don't have the money for the squad depth to compete long term - Klopp is saying it loud & clear. Oxlade-Chamberlain starting is just a symptom of this. 🤷‍♂️

10 were in the PL and 4 in CL. The other 5 helped us to a trophy.

We will have to agree to disagree about Walcott, I think a player like him summed up the second half of the Wenger era - but anyway this is about The Ox & the Liverpool board & I'm saying that Liverpool bought a player that like Walcott is domestic Cup trophy standard AT BEST.

Fair point.

Nothing player, even then.

We don’t have any other options with Jota, Diaz and Nunez out injured.

He’s literally 4th choice in any of the forward positions.

Yeah, but you can't expect to have zero injuries, Oxlade-Chamberlain's just a symptom of the problem, Liverpool's team is ageing, they clearly don't have the money (just like Arsenal & the $pud$) to freshen it up & to build the necessary squad depth.

It will be interesting to see who buys the club & how deep their pockets will be now that FSG have seen the writing on the wall.

Only one of the four injured attackers is close to thirty. Ox starting has nothing to do with an aging team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh OK, you're all fine then, don't worry about it...keep getting comprehensively outplayed in every department by the likes of Brighton. 👀

Your initial comment was stupid but nothing compared to this one. Your reasoning for it going wrong is nonsense. That doesn't mean it hasn't been going wrong, you imbecile.

Absolutely. When you're not playing well and there has been many occasions throughout Klopp's time at the club when we haven't been, you at least put in the effort and fight for every ball, you will finally work yourself to form. We are being outfought most of the season.

We need to drop the possession game we've adopted and go back to what we're good at. High intensity defending from the front and quick attacks. It's not like we've picked up fewer injuries or have had fewer fitness issues since we switched.

You got me there. I'm normally positive in regards to the team under Klopp but I am not seeing anything to be positive about lately.
