Squad List

We are reportedly interested in highly fancied Moroccan Midfielder Azzedine Ounahi (Graham Smyth) after he did so well at the world cup.
With the new squad due to announced at the end of this transfer window, the 17 non-domestic players would be:

1) Meslier
2) Klaesson
3) Robles
4) Koch
5) Llorente
6) Struijk
7) Dallas
8) Firpo
9) Kristenssen
10) Adams
11) Roca
12) Summerville
13) Harrison
14) Sinistere
15) Wober
16) Rodrigo
17) Ounahi (possibly).

Domestic Players would be

18) Ayling
19) Cooper
20) Forshaw
21) Bamford
22) Drameh

of course the squad can have any number of under 21's, currently

Gnonto
Greenwood
Rutter
Gyabi
Perkins
Gray

Quite a large squad. Can see why it's crucial to get some of the younger pros out on loan somewhere.

Also why it was in everyone's interest to move Klich on.

He would be a very good signing

You look at that squad and wonder how we don't score more.

Defensively it still feels a mess. Firpo, Llorente, Kristensen, Koch. None of them really have impressed

Yorkie, we have three international defenders in Llorente, Rasmus and Coops. Mes and Struijk are on the fringes of their national teams and we can’t get a tune out of our back line? We have seen all of these players do well at different times. We have a new addition to their ranks who, in two games, has played in midfield. I think Jesse does not have a clue how to set up a defence. Every week he tries different combinations of players in different set ups, so they never get to build understandings with each other. When they have the ball, they can’t wait to get rid of it, so we often give away possession in our third. This is just one of many reasons why Jesse has to go. Marsch out.

Had another thought on this, Rutter is 21 in April, that would mean that should we bring Ounahi in, someone from the non-dom list would either not have their contract renewed (Robles perhaps) or we would need to sell to recruit non-english/welsh players.

True... but then saying international defender doesn't mean much when one is playing for Scotland

I am a big fan of Struijk. He has all the tools but is being played too much and out of position. Cooper is decent but has the mistake in him, or lack of pace at times.

Llorente I did like at the start when he wasn't injured. You may have a point with him

Koch, again has had injuries. I've seen little from him so far. Not a bad defender. Just not seen anything

I think Koch has been decent just by the fact he doesn't seem to make as many howlers as llorente. We don't have a pl level back four with whoever we put in.
