Now that the dust has settled

What more can be said about yesterday? Been a while since we won an away NLD and we did it in style. The first half was truly exceptional, can't remember the last time we dominated spurs away like that, and just felt from the opening ten minutes that this was going to be a special game.

Great fight, spirit, and discipline from the lads, you can see that they really believe in themselves this year. Arteta got the tactics totally right, overloading them in Midfield and creating loads of space to get the ball forwards for which we looked dangerous every time, with Saka giving them a particularly torrid time. Spurs attack was limited to allowing rather benign crosses from the likes of Lenglet for most part of the game, with Kane kept quiet and not allowed to do his usual routine on us. They did manage to break through and get some chances in the second half but MOTM Ramsdale stood up when it counted. Hero!

Only a couple of negatives, Tierney, when you come on, keep the ball son, and thought that Nketiah should have been taken off around the 70 minute mark as he looked knackered, but these are really a couple of minor gripes.

As for Spurs, just cannot understand Conte' tactics, or why their team can't adapt when the tactics clearly aren't working. Something really is wrong there, and long may it continue!

Another big big game coming up, loving this season so far, lets hope we can keep it going!

I wouldn't say it's ours to lose but I certainly fancy our chances. We do lack depth though and that may trip us up later on in the season. We're still in 3 competitions, and really need to get some extra bodies in right now.

i think it is, if you lose it it will be down to yourselves, I dont think any team in the league can go on a run that would be good enough to make up the gap IF Arsenal maintain what thy have just now, so thats what I mean by your to lose now IMO.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

City are. Ore than capable of winning 10 in a row
----------------------------------------------------------------------
of course they are capable, as are arsenal. only they are less likely than Arsenal based on what we have seen so far.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Really? City have a history of going on long winning runs when pressure is on. do Arsenal?

are arsenal not on an unbeaten run in the league just now of about 18 games or that ?

history is history ,,, leagues are won in the now, and in the now Arsenal are on a 9 game unbeaten run.

have played 18 games and lost 1.

ignore that part , meant to delete it

Id say that the team that has won the more games this year so far are the ones most likely to win the most games by the end of the season

Europa could help as we could play the likes of ESR, Jesus (hopefully) back into form and fitness, and give the likes of Vieira, Tomi and Tierney match time so when they are needed in the PL they are up to speed.

Too early to start thinking about titles

City still favourites
United only a point behind

You played well yesterday no doubt about it. And yes Conte’s set up is so rigid it left the midfield wide open for you.
I think Lloris’s OG set the game up for you. And Ramsdale made 4 possibly 5 world class saves which won you the game.

Beat Utd on the weekend, the PL is yours
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he made one top save, the rest were routine and would be thought of as mistakes if he didnt stop them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This, and besides, Lloris' save from Odegaard's first long range effort was better than any of Ramsdale's. I know there was a difference between the keepers' performances, but people like Neville suggesting the game hinged on that are not watching football properly.

Let's wait until the end of the TW to say, if we don't get anyone in we will not be favourites
