I suspect that most of us still have little or no regard for Rick Parry but at least he, and hence the EFL, is embracing the proposed White Paper on the independent regulation of football, unlike the Premiership and its self-serving members.
He has acknowledged what we might have guessed at (although it is still shocking) - that 2/3 of the EFL membership are insolvent and therefore that there needs to be a radical restructuring of financing including the abolition of parachute payments and requiring a larger contribution to the EFL by the Premiership. Otherwise there will be more Burys. The Premiership is almost certain to push against this but Parry insists that without it the whole exercise will be a waste of time.
His argument in favour of compulsion is that it has been proved by research that a healthy football pyramid is hugely beneficial to the communities involved because of the saving in health and other social costs. In other words the feel good factor derived from league football is incredibly important.
It does seem clear that if Government leaves it to football to sort out, there will never be any cooperation from the Premiership. Clearly Government should NOT be involved in the actual running of the game but it has to get involved in the mechanics of establishing a new regulatory body and achieving financial fairness.
That's got that off my chest so anyone else is most welcome to have a go.
Hope springs eternal

Confirming the ground at which a match that didn't happen could have taken place.
Its the attention to detail that makes this forum what it is!

How long have you had this interest in teenage boys Ang? When you say perform, what exactly do you mean.

I'm merely interested in his conversion rate, Spart.

Cybulski seems to be doing well at Solihull Moors in the National League. He’s been finding the net which didn’t seem his strength when he was at Derby. I’d be surprised if got to League 1 level but you never know. Stretton seemed a likelier prospect and he hasn’t made it yet.

Could be a BS rumour to fill some transfer rumour space but Morgan Whittaker linked to a move to Glasgow Rangers. 900k offered but Swansea seeking 2million.
Here's hoping there was a sell on clause inserted when we let him go to Swansea.

And another.....Flint linked to a January move to Derby. With Stoke stoked up on defenders , rumours he may be linked with us again.
I'll be posting nothing concrete throughout the day.
