Has Conte's personal losses affected his motivation? Can't be easy to be working through 2 bereavements in a short space of time then go to work and see Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Tanganga and Sessegnon....now add Lloris to that mix.
Our defence really is the problem. That's 6 players unfit for purpose out of 8/9 defensive positions in a squad. Lenglet and Romero only two worth starting.
Personal issues....

he does not appear to be interested-if it is not working, try something else
442-rather than 343
spence rather than the others at rwb
son benched for anothere midfielder?
nothing is being tried and only positive is Gill and Sarr
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep.... Sadly Gill & Sarr are only being played because of injuries not because he really believes in them.... Given Son's form and Kulu's injuries, Gill could have been given far more gam time than he's actually had..... He's a crap manager... Totally overrated and only concerned about his rep as a winner
----------------------------------------------------------------------
isnt that a contradiction?

I dunno what to think anymore mate... Just would have thought that given sonny has had one good 45 mins so far this season that Gill might have got more playing time

Critical players never really get dropped. Salah has gone through some tough times at Liverpool and always starts. Son was dropped earlier this season, came off the bench and scored 3.
I think his troubles are as much to do with him as they are to do with our team. He's not being found by many of our players due to their limited ability to be creative. Take Bentancur out of the side and there isnt much talent to play Son into the space he enjoys, and a lack of creativity in and around the box.
Regarding Gil, after Villa I had given up on him ever being able to cope with the PL, thought selecting him away at Palace (a physical side) would have seen hm suffer more, but he really showed what he is capable of. I guess the problem is that top sides, top 4 side have these sorts of talents but they need to deliver most games. Players like Odegard and Martinelli have taken time to truly settle and then become a dominant force.
Fans are expectant and impatient. Arteta was 15 months or more with fans wanting him out, and now that patience is paying off.
Trouble with Conte is that he needs to absolutely trust players, and that trust seems very hard earned. Other managers will put huge faith in players and select them, put his trust in them, not because of injuries etc, but because they need to play to develop. Its a far more positive approach to player management, and progressive.
Conte's problem is that he is not doing this AND the football is poor and progress has stalled. As some have mentioned, at least in early Poch years (and the same for Klopp & Arteta) while they progress was not remarkable you could see the journey of travel and the fact there were young and inexperienced players helped get on board with the level of progress. Conte has experimented little and now the performances and results have plateaued and there are few excuses for it really.
I am not in the Conte out camp, but to me there is a really watershed moment coming....back him sufficiently to get him to sign a contract and start the next season with a squad to challenge, or press he reset button this summer. The latter will no doubt see the loss of Kane or at least his unwillingness to sign a new deal.
Whatever you think of Conte, you also cannot get way from or ignore the fact the we require new quality players in 4 or 5 key positions. If we are prepared to hand Conte that then lets at least see what he can do as he would have no excuses then.

We are so close to getting rid of the deadwood I fear a restart might see a new manager give them more opportunity.
The defence needs an overhaul. If Conte doesn't see this then he should leave. If he does see this then I'm fine for him to stay. We need 3 top class CBs for this system. Top class leaders. Would give anything for Inters CBs lBastoni De Vrij Skriniar

I pretty much agree with all that mate... The list of issues at Spurs is endless.. Re Conte, I'm afraid the most impressive thing about him is his resume... sadly that's of no use to a club like Spurs if we cannot come close to replicating his previous club experiences and environment... Totally agree with you re it being a watershed moment. I suspect its already done.. Conte looks like a dead man walking, the players look like they have quit on him and the silence in the transfer mkt for a club that needs a major overhaul speaks volumes.... Just my guess but I bet Poch is lined up with the club not wanting him to start with a hammering at City..... I would have a small wager Conte is gone by the weekend

interesting hunch. Would not be too disappointed if it came to pass but it is just more uncertainty and transition and another excuse for some poor players to prove themselves when we really just need to move on from them.
