If you weren't stupid you would interpret that as he's being professional and not airing it outside the club but you know what he's talking about. You sold players and didn't spend l, so obviously the only way is backwards.

Exactly. He told Celtic for two years what needed to happen, ultimately they were on top, finding it easy but things changed and Rnagers got on top. Should never have happened, for even one season from the position of strength Celtic were in. Complacency from the club.

I could just agree with TB's comment but what this is actually about is a swipe at some of the players - as Leicestershire Live says 'Rodgers believes they envisaged transfers to elite clubs that then did not materialise, affecting their form'.

One wonders who he's talking about? Tilly presumably - which TB will no doubt agree with wholeheartedly . However it's referencing more than one in the squad. If he's including Madders that is definitely not true, he's been our best player by a country mile over the last 18 months. Possibly Soyuncu? Anybody else? The problem with such comments is it tars a number of unspecified people with the same brush.

In any event, it's another moan at the players. How does he expect them to perform for him at the highest level when he keeps throwing them under the bus?

He's also made comments about lack of investment (the management) and - idiotically - the fans; there is of course some truth behind these, although some things are wiser not said. One gets the feeling that he is more concerned with preserving the Rodgers project than getting the team to perform as well as possible in the circumstances.

The person who does not appear to receive any criticism for our current predicament is the one who stares back at him in the morning whilst he is shaving, incidentally who has also allowed these 'invisible challenges' to affect the players concerned - for which he must at least bear some responsibility given his title of 'Manager'?
