So, thanks to making more money in January than I had hoped for, my holiday has been slightly extended. I now fly out on the 31st January...meaning that Unbeaten in Thailand is now trending nowhere.
Last Game Overview:
Sweet, sweet revenge. Not only did it create a 3 point cushion on Leicester, but it saw us rise to 13th. 5 points clear of the bottom three, with the next game (Bournemouth) being massive again!
The Good: Aurier, Lodi, MGW and Johnson's brace.
The Bad: Henderson's injury.
The Ugly: Rodgers.
Special Mention: Surridge's impact.
Overall Record:
Currently we stand at W6 D5 L8
We've lost four of our last five to Bournemouth, including that shambolic 3-2 loss, after going 2 goals up in the first half.
That was the beginning of the end for a back three in the premiership.
Injuries / Signings:
Danilo has arrived and is now skateboarding around the city doing videos with Scarpa.
Wood looks set to arrive on loan from Newcastle and be registered in time for the Bournemouth match.
In goal we are linked with Livakovic (Croatian WC goalie) and Navas (currently at PSG). Welcome to the Premier League lads!!!
A CB addition seems likely after the offloading of Bade and the injury to Boly, although both Niakhate and Richards will be back in full training by the end of January.
Elsewhere, a winger has been rumoured for a while / another forward.
Awoniyi, Boly, Henderson, Kouyate, Lingard, Niakhate and Richards are all injured.
Your Opposition Story:
None about the football.
Another uni story: Who doesn't have a door handle on a room that doesn't have an en-suite?
Window locks didn't make it any easier. The mirror / make-up stand wasn't a wash basin.
I was never invited back to that delightful thatched cottage.
Form:
Bournemouth Home Form - W2 D1 L3 GF7 GA7
Forest Away Form - W1 D1 L4 GF1 GA13
However, form over the last 10 games shows a very different picture:
Forest W4 D3 L3 GF8 GA12
Bournemouth W1 D1 L8 GF10 GA21
Team:
Hennessey
Aurier Worrall McKenna Lodi
Freuler Mangala Yates
Scarpa Johnson MGW
Prediction:
3-1 to Forest. The subs made the difference in the last game and I expect the same here. Maybe 1-1 at half-time, with us bringing on Danilo, Surridge and Woods...before blowing their house down.
COYRs!!!!!

Southampton losing now

I think we deserve that with the pressure we’ve put on the last 15 minutes

That was tight, inches in it, but to be fair we’ve kept them pressed back and Surridge, despite looking ropey at first has possibly scored a massive goal for the Garibaldi. COYR’s.

Come on Forest. You can do this

Sounded like a decent performance and a valuable point.

Excellent point, which didn’t look likely at half time, we stuck in, kept them under pressure and probably just about deserved a point, i said 5 points from Festa, Muff and Leeds would be a good return, and i still feel that.

I would have liked a win but I'll take a point away from home any day.
Really impressed with Danilo, he was a real live wire in the midfield and so happy for Sam, scoring his first Premier league goal.

Thought we were poor.
Loss our way after the 1st half disallowed goal.
Thought it would finish with loss.
Excellent away point all things considered.

It seemed weird to start Wood, who apparently had a poor game. Not sure the formation we play suits his style. I thought he’d be an impact player whilst he bedded in.
No Dennis? Got to be the end of the road when Wood starts and Surridge makes the bench.
Still need a CB and a forward / winger.
Disappointing, but we’re still in 13th. We need those three points at home to Leeds.
