Never disagreed with the majority of Chelsea fans who've wanted us to cut ties with him since the summer, he's never really settled & hasn't looked happy for at least a year now, but I've always held back slightly as it couldn't be denied he's consistently been the only player in our attack who freely takes some god damn risks - the problem he has being he takes too many, ironic.
Now, thankfully, I believe we've addressed this problem
It's impossible (IMO) to get an accurate reading of a players potential to be great based off six months of quality even if I'd watched it first hand, but the willingness to take risks, always think forward first, and natural flair that oozes off Mudryk is exactly what this insipid attack needed - a livewire in the final third. Frankly even if this was to be the peak of his ability, as long as he's consistent he'll have a place in the squad for a long time. On wages of under 100k/w (for context, that's less than Hudson-Odoi ) locked in for 8 and a half years! Gotta say props to Boehly on this one.
Mr Ziyech, You Are Free To Leave

Both Ziyech and Pullisic will be gone in the summer

Mudryk looked a class above everyone else in that game when he came on. Obviously you do have to factor in that both sets of players were complete shiiiite but he looks an exciting talent.
From our point of view I didn't mind us (Arsenal) dropping out of a bidding war for the player as he's so unproven but it doesn't mean we won't regret that in a few years time.

Trossard’s a shrewd signing anyway given you only really need depth in those positions. Your starting front 4 is as good or better than any I can think of in football at the moment.
As sickening as that is to say

It's definitely getting there. Not exactly an all star line up but several good players who seem to complement each other.
We'll see how Trossard gets on. We definitely needed at least one signing as we were one injury away from really struggling to put out a forward line. With Trossard it means an option on the wing but also the option of moving Martinelli central if required. Given the low fee we've hopefully got funds left over to cover DM as losing Partey to injury is now our biggest worry

Yeah agree you need a good replacement for Partey if needed

Cannot wait until Cal receives another bumper contract that reflects his brobdingnagian unique skillset, mentality and ceiling. 👂
Wholly deserved to fend off the many clubs that will covet him, with year left on his contract. Highly desired player. Boehly
Plenty of suitors once again, which Pulisic & Ziyech fail to garner (hence hard to shift them). The difference is clear...
Elite sides understand the ability and potential Cal possesses, they are not dense. Can play for any top side he wants

As for Zyech, I don't think he has ever looked happy, his whole demeanour and his seemingly lack of enthusiasm (maybe I'm wrong) is not in the best interests of the team, please sell sell sell !
