Bielsa

Looks like he’s arrived in the U.K. to discuss the Everton job.

Hopefully he turns them down.

Why?

You were one of those calling for him to be sacked.

If you thought he wasn't good enough for us, why wouldn't you want him at a rival?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think I ever called for him to be sacked. I’m sure you will trawl through until you find something though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
cant be bothered, you were quick to call for him to go, as many did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cant be bothered? That’s a first!

I think if you find anything it was that I said Bielsa’s sacking after that run of games was inevitable.

No way did I want him to leave our club. In fact I’d gave him back tomorrow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So would I.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Me too. I was never in favour of him leaving.

The fact we have progressed so little (if at all) under Marsch, with a vastly superior squad, says it all.

"Bielsa wanted to bring 8 backroom members of staff with him and work with the under-21s and academy between now and the end of the season. He would then step up and become manager."

never change Marcelo

At 66 years old and watching the great times and the really bad times, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’d rather keep Bielsa and go down than lose him at this stage.

I hope there’s a massive backlash against the board today on social media and they realise that the vast majority want him to see this out.

I understand those who want rid but the alternative sounds horrendous.

I don’t think you understand how this works.

Jonty says you wanted him sacked. Jonty can’t be wrong. You were obviously hacked and that wasn’t you. It’s not what you meant. And regardless of the lack of evidence to suggest that you wanted him sacked, you undeniably did.

You’re also an idiot and an abuser.

So now you’re blocked.

I wondered why there was no trawling and link to me saying I wanted Bielsa sacked.

As I said it was a first for him.

Never mind - at least I remembered what I posted - not bad at 67 years old

haha you complain about trawling and then you go and do it.

If I got it wrong, happy to hold my hands up to it.

So many on here, were saying he had to go, same as saying Bamford past it and Gelhardt and Bate were generational talents.

The love for Bielsa is totally understandable and thousands of supporters not wanting him dismissed in the belief he would still steer us to safety last season is also understandable.

The viewpoint that some are maintaining though that they would have rather have got relegated playing the Bielsa way than stay up with the JM way I do not understand especially as he was not going to be around the following season to spearhead a potential promotion campaign and plans were already afoot to find Bielsa's successor for the start of the 22/23 season.

However knowing what I know now I can honestly say I would not have wanted Bielsa replaced with JM but I did think a change in approach and a more defensive set up was needed to help us survive last year so I probably would have learnt more towards getting the ex Wolves boss or even Carlos Corberon in.. I can't quite remember who else was available 12 months ago so maybe there was someone else who in hindsight would have not only kept us up but progressed the team a lot further than what Jesse Marsch has struggled to do.

Maybe the new signings and speculation of another USA international joining the ranks will change my mind that JM has a future with Leeds beyond this season.

As much as I love Bielsa, it's a bit pointless imagining him staying and having the current squad to hand -- there's no way he'd have allowed so many new players coming in to his squad.

We'd perhaps had the odd one or two with the rest coming from the youngsters. Bielsa's Kryptonite was his need for a skeleton squad.

It doesn't stop me from wondering what he could do with our current squad though - I'm sure they'd be doing better than they are with Marsch.

Classy leeds fans as always not wanting the best for people, rather see them out of a job and Bielsa continue to struggle without a job just because you sacked him

Absolutely Pathetic

Perhaps he's in the UK to have secret talks with Radz.

Perhaps he has come to the UK to catch up with Pep at Man City and take in the Man City Arsenal match at Everton's expense.
