Lots of fellow Spurs fans hated him because he won alot in his career. Mugs

Pretty sure it was because his football was dire, things quickly went sour and he threw players under the bus rather than admit that his methods just didn't work anymore. His history of winning trophies was the reason Spurs fans were willing to give him time, until things got really bad.

Unbelievable that he is the last manager who won a trophy for us. It's been almost 6 years now. Shows how bad the Ole days were. It's unbelievable now how bad Ole was as a manager.

I genuinely don’t know how anyone can hate him. He’s the type of character football needs. One of the very best managers of the last 25 years. I’m fairly certain he’d be a great laugh on a night out and would win over his greatest detractors. Even Darren.

I genuinely don’t know how anyone can hate him. He’s the type of character football needs. One of the very best managers of the last 25 years. I’m fairly certain he’d be a great laugh on a night out and would win over his greatest detractors. Even Darren.

I watched that final in a wee village in France called Astet. Even the locals were getting annoyed by Vitor Baia’s antics

My favourite dig he took at another manager (and the media) will always be "Maybe Pep owns a restaurant in Oslo"

I can't be bothered to explain the context for anyone who doesn't know, but for a Chelsea fan at the time (a year after the Overbo screwjob) that was such a fist pumping moment.

Best moment was when he poked Tito in the eye. Showed his true character. What a weasel
