How much better do we look without Hojberg in the middle of the park?

Son doing what he does best
-------------------------------------------------------------
Because he was receiving the ball a lot further up the pitch instead of 10 yards inside our own half

You’ll have to revise your anger when no Kane becomes a regular thing soon. Could prove an unexpected blessing in disguise..?

He’s right though. Kane is our best player by a country mile
Can’t read anything into tonight’s game

Positives:
Son doing what he does best - afforded loads of space by Preston mind. But took his goals brilliantly.
Kane didn't have to come on.
Danjuma: looked bright and confident when came on. Didn't like his gestures towards other players when didn't go his way.
Skipp: The best we'd seen if him since before his big injury. Really hope he can recapture his form, when he's positive like this there is a player in there. We missed him badly when he did get Injured initially.
Negatives:
Sess - what more can you say, no confidence, no conviction, lack of quality and all this against pretty poor opposition.
Bissouma - doesn't look interested to me or at least didn't today. Not sure what he offers that Papa sarr doesn't. Sarr looked much better when we saw him.
Sanchez - Always said he's championship standard, but even today looked out of his depth
Kulu - thought he was poor today, got an assist again but gave it away a fair bit and looked heavy and sluggish. Not aided by a poor pitch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bissouma was Spurs best midfielder. Were you watching the game?
Sanchez made one mistake all game, from which he recovered. He led the team well.
Sessignon is just crap.
Skipp came on against a tiring Preston, and is Championship level at best.
Kulu was reasonably quite today agree there.
Other than that spot on

We were craaap first half. So slow and sideways sideways sideways.
Second half we started passing the facking football quicker which surprise surprise made us much better.
We actually looked more confident playing at a faster pace.
The only one that really disgraced himself was Sess - even at his level (championship) he looked poor.
But Preston are poor.
Great to go through though🎉
The boys from White Hart Lane, hey!

Yeh that is exactly my take. First half was so slow. Preston were rubbish though, so Spurs got away with it. Need a home draw now.
Sessignon has to be the worse fullback ever at Spurs. Four seasons, and he looks like a pub player.

Preston very negative and Spurs had made a lot of changes so it always was going to be hard going to start with, lacking cohesion. But we grew into the game and crushed them barely looking threatened at all.
Funny how many on here state we haven't got a squad to make lots of changes and we should go near full strength and then when make 7 ot 8 changes, its all about Preston being poor.
Well played Spurs 2nd XI, a professional and entertaining, at times, performance against very negative opposition on a poor pitch.

Kudos to Conte for making 8 changes and stil getting a result and a performance out of them. I'm not his biggest fan but credit where it's due.
