Awareness, distribution, bringing others into play v Accrington all impressive.
As Bielsa might say "Very good Bamford"

Liw, the people who ever said Bamford is useless aren't worth listening to.
Best striker we've had since i've been following Leeds.

He's always had a high football IQ (and an actual
high IQ). His ability to speak French is a secret weapon.
See Raph and now Rutter. He will help him settle
and play to his best. Plus, he has the sweetest left foot.
But, he was glass. His injuries + his high wages made
him a millstone for nearly two years. I would've bet my
house that he was finished. When I read he'd gone to
Germany to have another op. I laughed. Add to that,
he missed far too many solid opportunities.
But, no denying there's a difference since that op. He
looks really good. I do think that the pressure's off
him now as we have other options up front. It's now
not all on him. Which, as we saw during the COVID
season, allows him to play at his best. We were (mostly)
all crying out for another option upfront. Now we have
a slew. It shows.
Against Accrington, he was excellent. Count me as
shocked. Happily so. I've watched that hooked
through ball to put Firpo in on goal, over and over,
and I still can't figure out how he did it or conceived it
in that split second. Maybe his body is able to work
as fast as his brain now it's mended.
Regardless, he stays fit we stay up.

I bet one was The Don! He’s been very quiet lately as well.

I've watched Bamford's assist for Firpo's goal over and over too. The way he stroked the ball through the defender's legs for Firpo to run on to it and score is pure class. It was like a gentle put on a golf course green. Simply brilliant!

Marsch and current regime done a good number on Paddy imo. Marsch has illiterated how he just wants Bamford to enjoy football. With Rodrigo, Gnonto amongst others scoring goals, with the arrival of Rutter and return of Sinisterra, the pressure is well and truly off Paddy to be fit and firing. He doesn't need to be rushed back ir over played as we have adequate cover for once. Does Bamford need to start the next game? No he doesn't. Bonus if he does start but we're not relying on his fitness as we have players taking the load off his shoulders.

In golf and snooker it’s a foul! Double hit/push shot.
In football it’s just brilliant!

Not trying to rain on the parade here but let's see if he can maintain this resurgence against Premiership defences.

You beat me to it, Snow. It’s great to have him back, but let’s see him do it consistently in the Premier League.

Yep, I confess I’d written him off. Hope he does really well now and stays fit.
