Tete - best debut since Zsolt Laczko.

Great 3 Points, totally needed with the next 3 games coming, all will depend how hot or cold the opposition blow, can’t see Rodgers being anything but ‘ let’s not lose’ against those.

Weird think for an eternal pessimist like me to say this, but I can see us beating Spurs. We're such a streaky team I can see us following this up next week. Rodgers has his new toys to keep him happy for a couple of games at least without reverting to his 'woe is me' act plus needs to make sure he can build the "see I was right, we did need new signings" narrative before it goes Tetes up again.

Yeah you may be right, such a weird team. Rodgers has a very poor record against Spurs though as he plays with a high line and gets caught on the break by Son and Kane every single time

The problem is he was right. He was spot on. The clubs shambolic on field administration has given him every excuse he needs - Top and the board have fed that narrative all the way, or at least allowed Rodgers to.

He wasn't wrong as such, but the way he has and will continue to use it as an excuse to hide behind his own failings as a manager over the past 18 months is deeply cynical and goes to the heart of his flawed character. He'll be loyally supported by his friends in the national press, and the local media, who need to keep on side with the club will be happy to swallow it up even if it means misinforming the fans.

Massive 3 points today and it almost doesn’t matter how they came, but it was good that they came with goals and looking more dangerous.

We still look imbalanced and let’s not pretend we were defensively strong today, but hopefully we can improve that with more time on the training pitch.

Great that Tete hit the ground running. Concerns from me he might take time to get up to speed weren’t justified so hopefully he can push on from there.

We desperately need a good defensive midfielder. N’didi is horrific at the minute and apparently has some personal issues which could explain his alarming drop off. Mendy is ok, but we need someone who can protect the back 4. We need the old N’didi basically
