Seemingly bizarre decision to sack a manager after investing in your biggest January transfer window in decades with manager's choices.
Seemingly.
Was there some plan to replace Marsch with Armas?
I dont think so, but whole things is a mess and with Adam saying they're looking for long term, it again doesnt make sense as new man will probably want half these players out, and we need someone for the her and now.
Listening to Paul Robinson suggesting The Celtic manager and Kewell, shows just how bizarre this situation is and ow Robinson can be spot on and also completely out of touch at times and yet I could see them appointing Kewell, such is our owners lack of connection to fans right now.
It feel to me that we have thrown away any of the momentum and legacy that Bielsa built.
The fans and city reconnected to the club, the elevating of standards, the football, ooh my word the football, the transformation in players!
Who on earth decided Marsch was the right next step, the same who appointed Heck and TC and gave them zero support.
Our recruitment stinks.
We've gone through a zillion keepers till we got lucky with Kiko getting banned and Meslier was given a chance.
We've gone through even more left backs and they've all been shocking.
We have a club full of wingers and try to play them all on the left.
If there was a Guinness world record for playing players out of position we would win it.
And finally with managers, we seem to screw it up any way you look at it every time, except for hiring of Bielsa.
Same way Marsch needed to take responsibility for results, board need to take responsibility for this mess time and time again.
Multiple owners do not work, they will want different things, even if subtly, and with no disrespect to Americans, if you come from a sporting system that does not have promotion and relegation, you cannot understand how important that is and how difficult it can actually be to get promoted again.
I dont feel sorry for Marsch. He was an idiot to take the job after a cult hero, I said that at the time and he has treated some of our players poorly, but I respect his family values and I believe he did give it his all, he was just completely out of his depth and our board should ashamed that they could not see that he wouldn't be a good fit at all.
I dont have the name of the successor right now, but I dont want to hear about projects, we need someone who can take an existing squad of players and get results....now.
What's the plan?

I do not think we would have gone down if Bielsa had stayed, Marsch kept us up but that was mainly down to players returning to the first team!..
I think Bielsa would have got more points then Marsch did!..

Marsch was/is an RB system disciple. But his version
of it morphed into something bordering on whacky.
In hindsight, his system was an over-cooked mess.
Someone at the club fell for babble and got duped.
The squad will, I think, work with any manager the
club choose to bring in. It's a very good squad. A good
manager will make it work within their system. Bielsa
proved it during his time here when he took a lower
Championship squad and performed football miracles.
I'm not worried about the players. They're good.
The club need to get the manager choice right. That's
my biggest worry.

Think they pulled the plug too early. They backed him in the window with 2 players he'd have been familiar with, especially his ex captain Wober, only to sack him a couple of weeks later. Imo, we are playing well and it was only a matter of time before we pasted somebody, once Bamford, Rutter, Summerville and Sinisterra got back to full sharpness along with Gnonto.
Its done now though. Need to get the right man in and the fans have to get behind him, if not, its off to Ipswich next season.

Got to sort defence out first imo. We need someone who knows what the f they doing, Marsch was way out of his depth and he’d had success elsewhere. We need someone very special to keep us up.

"I know MB won't come back"
The moment I read that.....I just wondered.
Might he have met with our owners when just in England?
I really dont think it would happen, but with this club I wouldn't discount anything!

I don't think MB would come back unless Radz has gone.
Apparently, MB is blanking Radz when he tries to contact him about naming the training ground after him, so I suspect there's some ill-feeling there over MB's sacking.

Sounds like he may have lost the dressing room tho. Bamford's post-match digs on Sunday reflect the rest of the team's feelings, I think Marsch's days were numbered.

I'm 100% sure every Leeds fan agrees.
It's rough that our three best defenders are all CBs:
Wober, Cooper, Koch.

I completely agree and AR making comments like I hope we can meet again one day as friends, shows he knows he did a bad thing.
I believe if AR out of picture, it might be a possibility for him to come back.
I never really like to go back to the past, but Bielsa really was something special.

It's always easier to fire the manager. It deflects the fan's anger away from the Board and the Owner! It would appear that many fans are taking the bait?
I doubt if the manager ever told the team to not score goals but, instead, make plenty of errors during games? Many loyal fans seem to not be critical of the players?

Popey is saying interviews have already started.
