According to Sky Spors and talkSPORT, Rayo Vallecano have 'blocked' Iraola's potential move to Leeds United, despite the La Liga boss being open to the move himself.
It is thought that Iraola is set to brief the press later today and we will keep you up to date with everything the Vallecano manager has to say on the current situation.
Previously...
"The 40-year-old likes to play a 4-2-3-1 system and has averaged 1.53 points per game with Los Vallecanos in 118 matches. Iraola actually ended his playing career at New York City as a team-mate of Jack Harrison, with the Spaniard making 21 appearances alongside the Leeds star, and it now seems as if he is of interest to potentially take over from Jesse Marsch, who was sacked on Monday."
Makes you wonder if Harrison sale was stopped just in case...

Arne Slot is now 2/1 with Sky, same as Iraola.

This Arne Slot looks very good too so at least we are being linked with progressive talented young coaches and not the usual out of work suspects.

Corberan as I've mentioned in the past wasnt popular when he was last here so cant see that happening,
Celtic guy if he bought his assistant with him would cause a riot,
Iraola or Slot maybe,

Corberan just signed a contract extension with WBA so he's out (I think).

Yes I think CC has great potential but maybe Radz and Co have decided Leeds need someone with more top level high pressure experience which Slot and Iraola have got in their locker with Feyenord and Rayo Vallecano respectively.

My money would be on Iraola. Corberan rejected it, good luck to him.

This Slot fella has a pretty impressive young assistant by the name of Robin Van Persie... wonder if he will come with Slot too as a lot of Dutch media are saying Leeds have offered Slot the top spot!

Either slot or iraole sounds good to me.
I read slot is tied up until 2025

Isn’t it refreshing to see some loyalty in the football world?
Carlos Corberan has demonstrated his integrity and we applaud that with a standing ovation.
He must really be enjoying the ‘family’ experience of West Bromwich Albion FC and long may that and his success continue into the future.
Well done Carlos!

Actually yes it is. Signing the new contract shuts down any distraction about approaches from us - for all parties i'd imagine.
